We embark on a spring road trip to Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula, complete with wet roads, gorgeous mountains and bluebird skies, all to pick up our much anticipated 30′ x 60′ Rimol Greenhouse. Along the way we make a few pitstops but once we are loaded down we boogie home so we can get back to work.

We appreciate you tagging along for our Alaskan adventure ๐Ÿ˜€

we made it to the keenai if you didn’t already gather we just picked up our future [Music] Greenhouse spring is the official start to road trip season up here Alaska and we’ve got an awesome road trip planned the next couple days we’re heading all the way down to the kai Peninsula we’re also running some errand so we got our bagel and cream cheese let’s hit the road [Music] again [Music] [Music] [Music] well it’s safe to say that we picked a very sunny day to do this trip which is awesome we have not done this drive for about 5 months it’s something where you know a road we’re really familiar taking in the past pass but it’s been a while for sure and it’s really nice to kind of come back here and see the mountains they are quite a bit different from where we live now and you can probably see they’re pretty spectacular behind me there’s not a lot of folks out here yet because we haven’t quite gotten to the summer season we’re taking a little pit stop with the dog made lunch and carrying on we’ve got to go to we got to pick up some fat and some other things and then we are going to head to our old place this fence is heavy have to devide some sort of way to install it first stop of the day looks like we’re already filling up the [Music] trailer okay folks we are getting there somehow it it is now 4:30 in the afternoon but thankfully it’s starting to stay light really late so I think it won’t get dark till about 8:00 tonight and We’ve ran all of our errands we picked up some supplies for the garden the trailer’s pretty full right now and you may be wondering why we brought the snow machine with us we brought the old scandic and we are headed to our old place and we’re going to unload it and we got to remove some stuff from the bog and we wanted to get in there while there was still snow on the ground and our neighbors sent us some pictures it looks like there is a lot of snow there so we’re going to go check it out yeah was tell I had a lot of on the deck the snow has melted a lot here what do you think I think it’s time to get in there we’ll see if we can get in there people we’ve become Pros when it comes to road trips and we have learned that you got to bring extra pairs of shoes so we now bring our Drive-In slippers we have our regular boots that we can wear around town and since we’re coming here we’re going to tredge through a lot of snow and do some snow work we got our snow boots so we’re going to get our boots on and our bibs on see if we can get in there the warmest temperature we have hit so far on this trip was 43 right here no it’s 37 here but down the hill it was 43ยฐ that’s warm come on we’re up about 3 feet yeah man come on sweetheart oh my gosh a moose pooped right in the chicken to I’m sorry fella yeah dude you got two beds that’s sad I think I’d be more comfortable sleeping in the truck she’s hard going but she’s getting there isn’t the wood dry though the wood’s very dry yeah we got a lot of nice wood in that woodshed [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] so our timing is impeccable this snow is uh perfect for riding on right now our bog is quite wet out there hence why we call it a bog um and or it’s a muskeg and that’s where our bees used to be but we also have some pallets and we have a very large heavy concrete block out there um I had like aspirations to paint it one day and I did not so I’m really adamant about wanting to clean this place up we’re going to be back down here pretty soon and taking care of the place cleaning it up um this is all we were doing today we needed to get this done in the winter and I think think I think it’s going to [Applause] happen so this is our old place and it’s looking good here we’ve done a lot of work and we’ve had a lot of projects here so it’s cool to be back and it’s nice to be back because we get to stay the night here since it’s our place and then we’re going to wake up early tomorrow morning and we’re heading south let’s park this thing for the [Music] [Music] night well we did it we got our Java we got some americanos this morning and let’s see it’s 8 o00 and now we are headed to Anchorage we got to get some tools there that they don’t carry up in Fairbanks and then we’re headed to Best Buy because uh Ariel washed one of our camera batteries so we got to get a new battery man this is good coffee right here it’s probably of the best Americano I’ve ever had it’s an Americano that’s her this one that’s it folks that’s the same battery that we use for like our time lapses in the winter when it’s really cold outside um I don’t know how but it’s able to withstand some pretty cold temperatures we can put it out there for like a whole day or a whole night and usually it lasts for many many hours at like -30 or something like that that’s it okay we’ll have to ask that she’s [Music] locked nice this also takes all the wood off S extra blad for it says there’s a kit double edge tungsten carbide what’s this planer blade oh [Music] my okay now this thing is I swear this is 100 lb it is I’m pretty sure all right we got our tools we filling up the truck when you live far away from things you really got to plan ahead and you’re make your trips worth it so not only did we get a a planer but we got a planer so I think we’re done in Anchorage more coffee let’s get [Music] it [Music] [Applause] [Music] a [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] n [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] BR a cookie now all now but it’s found really weird yes I did it when we first pulled into that gas station we made it to the keenai currently 39ยฐ f everything is melting out [Music] here reached a new record high 45ยฐ let’s see what it feels like oh it feels warm feel really warm my gosh after 575 miles we have arrived at our destination Kenai Feed and Supply we’re going to head inside and pick up our load that looks like a 20 footer you on the pocket see how that works if you didn’t already gather we just picked up our future Greenhouse or high tunnel very exciting stuff drove a long way for this and you can tell we are definitely loaded down Eric took a lot of uh precaution to make sure that we are secured safely for the way home ke I feed and supply was awesome they helped load us up um we’re just really thrilled about this this is going to be a 30 by 60 we have plans to build it this summer and we’re definitely going to talk a lot more about it you’re probably wondering why the heck did you drive that far to get it and this supply store is known to carry these materials and they’re just known to sell these high tunnels and I think they’re fairly affordable so we chose to come all the way down here for it it’s getting late in the day and it has been a really fun trip we’re gonna head home and we hope you enjoyed the adventure look at all those straps all even busted out the new [Music] ones [Music] [Music] [Music] la [Music]

  1. Have you checked the trail cameras you set out on that long haul ski mobile trip you did?

  2. We just stumbled across your channel guys, we are starting our quonset home on our page and have taken a lot of tips from your job! Thanks for sharing

  3. My demands for a generator is once or twice a year. What brand of generator do you suggest? Honda 2-3000, Predator 2-3000. When you move a refrigeration unit, let it set for 4 hrs plus to separate the Freon from the oil in the compressor. Doing a great job, love the end caps on the hut.

  4. Kinda sad to see your old place abandoned, but you can see how small and cramped it had become for you. Gotta have room to grow your dreams!

  5. ๐Ÿ’™Alaska sure is beautiful! Thank you for showing us all around! I wish yโ€™all would do a Q & A! I want to know why yโ€™all picked a colder climate to purchase your new land and build your homestead? Well, Iโ€™m very excited for the next video!! I hope itโ€™s a long one!!.. I want to see every detail of yโ€™all putting the high tunnel and fences up!! I canโ€™t wait to see your garden!!๐Ÿฅ๐ŸŽบ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐ŸŽถ๐ŸŽ‰โคGod bless!๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ
