well it came around a bit quicker than I thought it’s harvest day once again which is perfect timing because today they’re doing meals in Pub so I’m going to cut quite a lot of it this time because I’ve got some new plants that I want to put in so we can create a mixture of different types of lettuce so rather than doing the cut and come again where we just take leaves and let it grow on I’m just going to cut the whole thing cuz we have got quite a lot probably planted more than we actually need so we’re going to take a mixture a l Roso and little gem and if you’re look in this container you can see that we’ve got quite a lot some of plants now need a little bit of breathing space and especially on this one as well and that’s the L Russo and I always find it’s better to take these plants before they get too big so I’m basically going to take up the old thing but to start with I’m just going to cut it off at the bottom so then we don’t get any compost on his lettuce and for a start that’s a pretty nice Ed of lettuce and I’m going to take this entire row today we’ve got plenty on go especially when we’re getting them at that size they’re amazing considering weather we’ve had these have really come on then we’ll take some of this L Roso as well exactly the same just cutting the old thing that is such a good size as well and just a few seconds later we’ve got an amazing Harvest of fresh homegrown lettuce so for sake or about a minute what an amazing bunch of lettuce we’ve just got a nice big container full of it and that is going to go a long way between us and that restaurant and we’ve actually took half of what we’ve got growing here plenty more Arvest to come and some of them we’re going to leave for cut and come again but when we need a big batch it’s easily doable even in a very small container garden so almost full rad gone from there still Lots growing up bottom as well one L Roso left in this container but still another full row of Little Gems at the back and something else that’s worth looking at is this spinach we’re now starting to get leaves on that as well so in a week or so we’ll be harvesting fresh H grum spinach as well and the same for this one of the reasons why I’m starting to clear out salads from various areas in these beds is that I’ve got these that’s another variety of salad called Green Oak Leaf and it’s really nice tasting salad Leaf so now we’ve took those are we can replace it with something different and these grow really well so at some point today we’ll get all these plants in and we’ll start a brand new row or a different variety of fresh HR salad while the other ones in about a week’s time are going to be ready for yet another Harvest I’ll just show you something that I noticed on cucumber plant this morning even though it has been quite cold very windy these plants are so resilient and it’s this one just down here we’ve got a really good size cucumber on this plant now that’s brilliant considering these plants are outside as well and we’ve got a couple on go there so not be too long before we’re getting a bit of cucumber to go away all that salad and on this tumbling Tom that solitary tomato made it through that storm and if you look now you can see it’s just a bit bigger than a pee but at least it survived that storm and we’ve got lots and lots of fresh growth and flowers and in this strawberry planter we’ve got a ripe strawberry but better than that we’ve got another one aren’t we and another that’s brilliant news and we’ve also got some germination on as carrot containing there these are the ones that were separated and I think Marty and marai would probably should have put these a bit farther apart but the main thing is they’re virtually all germinated so on his way to getting some more carrots not to mention lots and lots of blueberries look how many is on this plant absolutely loads although I’m quite pleased with what I’ve harvested already I’ve not quite finished yet there’s just one more thing that I want to do and that’s these These are as container spring onions and we’re growing them in a little Caravan wash Bowl but look how well they’ve come on and we can leave these to harvest as bulbs but we like to take the green tops because the brilliant chucking to stir fries and salads and sandwiches we also mix them in with mashed potatoes and they’re really good so basically all I’m going to do is gather up a nice big bunch of these and virtually going to cut a lot but I’m leaving some of this growth as well these onions smell amazing they also taste amazing so we’ve cut all those away and we’ve now got a really nice thick bunch of green onion tops they’ll keep in fridge for quite a while as well and all this will then grow back so we can take another Harvest as well and I’ve done this a couple of times in ped and then I’ve left the ball it’s regrown again and still gave us some little spring on on bulbs so it’s win-win when it comes to Growing spring onions in tiny little Caravan wash bowls like this so we’ll pop that back on that balcony and wait for his next Harvest but that is a good result it’s really good to see that in such a small area we’re producing so much on grown food and it just keeps coming and coming so we pick some we Harvest full heads of another but then we replace those with something different and considering we’ve only been setting this Garden up from scratch for 4 weeks I think that already we’re doing really well from it and there’s lots and lots more things to come yet and if you want to see what they’re going to be please hit that subscribe button press that notifications Bell and I’ll see you at next one you all take care

As always Ivan a great short video…with your advice my tumbling Tom's are starting to Bush an not just going tall thanks Eric
I can't believe how much your little gems have grown! The restaurant will love you 😊
Good looking lettuce! I have grown my own for the first time in many years and they taste so good – also in containers.
It's amazing how much you've managed to grow in such a small space in such a short time!
everything has come on great
hi Ivan do spinach leaves have to be blanched or can you pick them and freeze them without doing that .
Merci pour ce partage 😊
A bientôt
Ivan, did you hear me exclaim, “Just beautiful!” when you showed us that first cut Little Gem? I didn’t have luck the first time I planted a few Little Gem seeds, but I am now inspired to give them another go. They are just the perfect size for my needs.
It seems like you just planted that lettuce. It looks so delish.
What a result in such a short time! I bought some Green Oakleaf seeds on your recommendation and they've just germinated so I'm really interested to see how yours get on in comparison 👍
Ivan, my crops have been abysmal this year, the only thing that’s seems to be growing is toms, and fruit…me leeks look like spring onions, me parsnips havent reared their heads, carrots seem to be taking forever, me French dwarf beans last year were brilliant, this year virtually stunted growth, plagued by slugs and snails…really fed up…😕😕😕
You have the magic touch Ivan
I am soooo jealous! I've lanted and sown lettuce that just isn't growing. You don't have green thumbs, you have GOLD thumbs!
Wow wow wow!!!!
Well done Ivan, that caravan garden looks absolutely amazing and is an inspiration to anyone with limited space. Fab 👍
Great to see harvest already Ivan, well done 👍👏👏
Thanks Ivan, that's a lovely harvest mate. Take care and all the best. Stevie
Thank you for the video Ivan.👍🌱🍅🍓
Amazing Ivan god luck for the future 🤝
If you just nip off the leaves of the lettuce instead of taking the whole plant, will it just continue to grow new leaves?
How kind of you to share your spoils with everyone! Well done Ivan!
Has the caravan park got space for an allotment for you..then you can supply the fresh produce for them.❤
Amazing harvest Ivan, so kind of you to give to the restaurant. Everything, looks great in the container garden. Thanks for sharing.
An amazing harvest in such a short time. Where we live I am having a constant battle with slugs, snails, field mice and then pigeons. I know you have to watch the pigeons where you are. Do you have slug problems. Your videos are inspiring. Thanks.
Wow amazing 👏🏻
Where are your raised beds from please 😊
Lovely harvest & so fresh, I'm sure the restaurant will be very happy 😊 Nice one ..
You are a real inspiration Ivan. One of the most important things I have learnt, is feed. I use home made ones like nettle and comfrey tea instead of blood, fish and bone but I realise it is essential whether for containers or veg plot. Lovely harvest! 👍😊
I cut my little gem and left a bit and now I’m harvesting really lovely crunchy leaves. It goes on and on 😂
Wow Ivan what an amazing crop in such a short period of time, fantastic job👍🏻🥬🫛🥒🥕🌶️
