as I was saying yesterday I completely forgot about that propagator so I’m going to try and incorporate it to front of this van and change a few bits around we had quite a lot of suggestions now to set it up so thank you very much for everybody that got involved in that so I’ll get this sorta out and then I’ll show you something else that I bought this morning that I think is going to look really good at the front of this van these peas are really coming on now I’ve bought this I think that is going to look brilliant in between those Planters so we’ll get that put together and then we’re going to make up a Flower Basket from some of the plants we bought a few days ago well that took about 5 minutes to put together really easy so let’s have a quick look it and then we’ll get this basket filled there you go I think that’s a really nice touch and I’ve put those oblisk either side so we’ll get some more flowers set up I bought another one of those C lines so now we’ve got two matching ones so we’ll get those set up as well but first we’re going to get this basket done and that’s another really nice addition to this Caravan container garden so for this basket I’ve bought a couple more of these patunas really nice they’re called pink vein and that’s going to be a centerpiece a nice big bushy plant and it’s full of flour so I’ll add a couple more plants to fill that basket out and then we’ll have some Ivy draping down Hedges I think it’s going to look really good so let’s get started I’m also going to use one of those Caravan wash bows just to help stabilize that basket so it’s not moving around when we’re trying to fill it so we’ll get some compost in breaking up as I go but we don’t want to fill this basket because we’ve got to get all these plants in then afterwards we can back fill so we’ll get this one out first I’ve got a funner feeling it’s a bit root bound you can see it definitely is but that’s not a problem we’ll just break those up at the bottom and that can be in Center as we said so I’ll just make the all deep enough for it and then we’ll push that in and Loosely fill back around that’s his Flower Basket on its way and next we’ll get one of these in and these are producing lots more buds as well I’m just going to put one either side of this I need to take a bit more of that compost that way just so we can seat this down properly then we’ll do same other side with another one so if I just spin that around you can see that’s quite effective already we can just rearrange things as we go so I’m going to add a couple more little plants and then we’re going to add some Ivy I’m going to put a couple of these bonias in we’ve got a nice variety of color then on this planter and I think one of those each side it’ll be enough and we’ll F rest in with some Ivy I think we’re going to have to take this out and separate it it’s also very dry as you can see but I’m going to break this up and then we can position it where we want just going to shake that compost away we’ll get a bit of Ivy in here as well this is it’s basically like dust you can see how easy you can separate them once you’ve done that so little finish in touch with this Ivy just going to dig an all push all them roots in and then drop that compost back over and then we can just spread it out a little bit as we want and the same this side so very simple but also very effective we best make sure we give this a good watering so there you go really effective and it only took a few minutes to do so or get this watered in cuz that compost was very [Music] dry that’ll do so another really worthwhile addition to this Caravan container garden and if you’re interested in seeing what else we’re going to be adding to it over the next few weeks please hit that subscribe button press that notif ifications Bell I look forward to seeing you then you all take care we had to take out those peppers from this bed because they weren’t doing very well and I’ve decided what I want to do with it now I’ve got a yellow tumbling Tom tomato plant so we’re going to pop that in center and then I’m going to direct sew spinach all way across front here and if you want to grow spinach you better after doing it now before it gets too hot because otherwise it’ll bolt but if you get some under way this month you’re going to guarantee yourself a few harvests before that happens I’ll see you soon

  1. Very pretty basket. My spinach is done for the year. We are already going into summer heat.{90F} I've got okra, watermelon, cucumbers growing already.

  2. I need that planter 😂 where was it from Ivan, I'm hoping you're going to say Aldi or somewhere like that, looking lovely outside now…

  3. I love what you're doing to your caravan! I do have a question for you….I've noticed that the British use the word compost when planting. Is it really compost or just very good soil?

  4. The caravan garden is looking spectacular. That dahlia you planted in the basket will probably fill the basket on its' own. I can see iy swamping th petunia, which needs a lot of light to thrive. The ivy should be fine. Happy gardening 🙂

  5. Thanks for the update Ivan, the basket looks amazing. I can't believe how quick the container garden is growing. Thanks for sharing.

  6. Those hanging baskets look lovely Ivan. I used to cut up a few cheap sponges and put them in the bottom of my hanging baskets before the compost etc., it helped retain the water and stopped my baskets drying out in the sunshine. Have you thought about growing a clematis or a similar climbing plant around the caravan? We've grown a clematis in a container before with an obelisk and it flowered for months. It was quite a large container. It's all coming together nicely Ivan. You must be delighted with your progress. 👍

  7. I Ivan I was wondering if you could give me some advice please. I have my pepper plants in my dining room at the moment. They are standing between 1 1/2 foot to 2 foot, I really need to get them out. What's the best place to put them if I put them out, i.e., green house , cover them with netting outside in the ground. What would you think 🤔 please I have 37 different types ❤

  8. It looks fantastic Ivan you've put me to shame i can't believe how much you've done.I've just ordered one of those two tier beds it should be here tomorrow you've given me loads of ideas.Love your channel mate.👍

  9. Nice job potting up the welcome basket. You've really got things looking good. Do you have to mow the lawn? Have a nice day Ivan.

  10. Wow that hanging basket & welcome sign looks stunning, what a perfect edition to the caravan container garden.

I hope you don’t mind me asking what is probably a silly question but at the end of the season what happens to all the compost/soil in the containers? Does it stay put & can it be used again next year? I had a bit of a panic when I asked my council if we could put soil in the green garden waste bin & they said NO! Thank you so much, Annie
