so if you’re like me and you are battling noxious weeds like bind weed and Canadian thistle you might want to consider doing this so neither bindweed nor Canadian thistle can go in my composting bin because they are noxious weeds and bindweed can reproduce from just fragments of the roots Canadian thistle has super deep deep roots um that will send up other shoots too when they’re done so nothing goes into my compost pile from those two plants but what I do is when I’m weeding I make these big piles of weeds and then I leave them out in the sun I want them to completely die before I put them in the trash because if they are still living and I send them off to the landfill they could potentially start living in the landfill so I make sure that they are completely desiccated before putting them into the trash happy gardening
