it’s been a pretty miserable morning raining nonstop so we had a ride into town cuz if there’s not much to do out here we can always do a little bit more shopping I can always find a couple of plants to buy and I popped into Morrison’s today and I come across these raspberry plants this one is called all gold they’re really goodlooking plants 5 for that plant we’re going to get that potted up as soon as possible might not get much from it this year but at least we can get it once again a really nice looking plant so if this rain clears up we’ll probably get these done I’ve also bought another three bags of compost because our go are it like nothing and there’s nothing wrong with having an extra supply of containers it is a container G after all so we’ve got a few of these gray and black they’re not bad size containers so any pepper plants that we want to move on we can pop in there or maybe a couple more cauliflowers and then I got some in a bigger size and we got six of those once again in gray black really good size containers but then I saw an even bigger one so I got one of those these are really cheap that was £349 for the biggest size the smallest ones were 1229 each and I think these ones were 240 or something like that all from own baggage don’t we got plenty of pots to go out for the next few days I also pop back into yorshire Trading Company shop and they have still got some of those oblisk for sale at $9.99 so maybe if in your area they are to stock you could ask them to send one from another Branch I think I will pop these on I’ll do them today because they’re in these tall skinny pots and with being windy they get blown over all time and I don’t want these plants getting damaged so I’ve got me pots I’ve drilled those are extra hes always important to have the drainage and we get this compost in just using up last of that Verve and then we’ve got that new stuff as well breaking some of those lumps up it don’t matter too much when it comes to fruit trees they’ve got very vigorous Roots but we’re definitely going to add plenty of feed fish Blood and Bone we’ll get these filled up I’m trying to do this quickly cuz that rain’s threatening all time every time I shake it it brings lumps to the top so can break them all up before we plant anything in here just going to make a rough guess on this maybe about there and then we’ll top it back off so let’s get this plant out and avoid them spikes definitely plenty of roots on this one get that in there I’m going to seat it just below level just take a little bit more out there I think there is going to be perfect just firm that in as well don’t want it moving around more back fell all around that plant I’ll just leave it at that fo moment I think it should be all right if this compost settles down a little bit I’ll just top it back up but at least for the moment it’s in them Roots have got a lot more space now so let’s quickly get the other one in make sure I put that label in and then I’ll know which is which same job again let’s get this one out basically same thing we’re all right with that so we can get this one straight in as well what advantage to putting these in containers is that they’re not going to root into ground and spread everywhere which you don’t want they’ll soon get hard to control it looks like that rain’s kicking in again so we’ve timed that about right so two more additions to this Caravan container garden two raspberry bushes one red one gold so we’ll check back on these every other week and see how much extra growth they put on as it starts to get warmer and thank you so much to his latest donators I’m going to pop your name on after this video thank you so much for your generosity because I keep forgetting about about propagator I also forgot that not too long ago I seed a tray a swed and I just happened to just take a look and they’ve all come up and it’s very dry so that we’re lucky that’s a job for another day we prick these plants out and we’ll move them on somewhere so we can grow some really nice size seds for Autumn but for today I’m going to leave those out and they can get a natural watering we have got quite a lot of plants in there as well so we could separate them and get more than I actually wanted we’ll see how space goes we’ll see our weather goes because as you’ve noticed it’s quite windy once again so I do apologize for any background noise if you want to see where we put these and what else we’re going to be growing in this Caravan container garden then please hit that subscribe button press that notifications Bell and I’ll see you on next upload take care and stay dry

  1. 👍👍on those pots!! Great sizes….loves buying pots…encourages the promise of tomorrow growing. Loves how they are so stackable while waiting their time of use..I continue to be amazed at the pricing. Here in USA a plastic 6" pot would run 3-4$ at the minimum. Larger ones would be 4-6 times as much as you paid for the least expensive ones.

  2. Hi Ivan caravan garden looks great Happy Birthday for tomorrow Ginny have a great day.Thank you for your videos Ivan and your time

  3. Amazing value for the raspberry plants. I’ll take a look and see if they have any at my Morrisons. It’s a wet cold windy day here in Sussex.

  4. Those raspberry plants look so healthy. I bought two from one of the £1 shops online but I think I’ve killed them 😭they were just two sticks in a bag of soil & in a fortnight they’ve done nothing but yours look super healthy👍🏻the wind doesn’t bother me one bit, it’s just nature. Annie

  9. Hi Ivan it might be worth putting those raspberry bushes somewhere the wind don't hit them as the leaves will get wind burn, really enjoy your vids mate look forward to them everyday.

  10. Nice one Ivan. It's great you can get a few berries growing. Happy birthday to Ginny too. 21 again like me 🤣 Cheers!

  11. I bought a gold raspberry plant last year from Asda marked down to £2.50 and it did really well in a pot on my patio. This year it’s looking really good with loads of fruiting tips, hopefully I will get a good 2nd year harvest 👌 As a side comment, I love Jack’s Magic compost and have always had excellent results using it. Happy Birthday for tomorrow Ginny 💐🎉🥳🎂

  12. I’ve got a patio raspberry and blackberry in pots, they’ve been planted 2 years and 1 year respectively and haven’t done a great deal so far but they’ve really enjoyed the wet winter and have put on much more growth this year so I’m hoping for a good harvest this year. Having only a small garden I decided this was the best method as I didn’t want them to take over the whole garden. Happy birthday Ivan 🎂🎂
