Wk. 1 seedlings emerge, fun potting hacks, landscaping ideas, Poppy the snoop.

[Music] hi friends and family it’s Cheryl again today we’re going to be doing more gardening I’m so excited look at my squash after just one week things are progressing and I’m really enjoying this so come along with me and let’s see what’s happening okay here is day two of my rep potty they have to get a custom they’re in shock right now now right here is where I’ve poted other plants this first box is po Joy cabbage okay and my plan and see it says we week one my plan is to grow or uh plant a pot every week this is a golden nugget cherry tomato right here and it is not sprouted out of the ground but I’ll let you know when it does this is squash this is a straight neck squash all right and this is a Jal jalapeno that um I’ve already started y’all would be so proud of me I hand pollinated that because everything kept falling off all the blooms and it dawned on me that there were no beads inside so we needed to pollinate all right this right here is a lake side spinach this is Lakeside spinach I don’t know this is Lakeside spinach this is wild arugula this is a early prolific squash and this is this is Black Beauty zucchini so this is my first attempt at look at my fingers again this is my first attempt at container gardening in these small uh buckets and so I’m excited I also found this cute little Sun po solar L lanterns and they look really cute out in the yard at night okay here we go I am headed to the dollar store I really liked those flower lights solar lights that they have and I’m going to check and see if they have any more yellow ones I like the yellow and I like the orange and so that is where I am going today has been a very today has been a very beautiful day today that is container from some food that was brought to the church that’s making all of that fun um I wore white today so I wore my big clear glasses to church and anytime I wear white I wear these well like I said I’m headed to the Dollar Tree to see if they have any more of those Yellow Lantern uh solar lights I keep wanting to call them lanterns but they’re solar lights I really like them they are so pretty I don’t know how well they’re going to hold up but they’re holding up for now I have some lights um I have some lights on order to uh put they’re actually scones I’m going to put them on the back wall of the back porch or the patio it’s not a backp it’s just patio area and um that should help light up the back area I have a camera back there but it is so noisy it is an alarm and it is so sensitive if the Wind Blows the the tree next to the fence the alarm goes off so I’m kind of over that so we’re getting very close to our destination [Music] this is my yard um I’m about to get start on my front yard vegetable herb garden this a shade area or side walk going to the patio which I keep that locked okay then this well we won’t talk about that all right here’s my Japanese magnolia my little children reading and this area right here is a little bit grown up and so I’ve decided that I’m going to put something to break the eye up because I’m going to cover all of this my plan is to cover all of this and turn this into a garden this part of my yard um on the right if you can see my shadow this my shadow right here this part of the garden is very is sh sun has lots of sunshine this part of the garden does not the other part of the garden does not so I’m taking that in consideration here are my plants that I’ve already started and you can see that they are sprouting m is out here already all right this is my squash Black Beauty zucchini squash and this is my Bean plus you know about my jalapeno this is my Straight neck squash that’s sprouted this is one week that this happen there I’m have to kill this mosquito this is my pop Cho let’s see if I take the top off so you can see that this is my box choice of course my greens that I transplanted this is my wild arugula take the top off so you can see that this is my wild and my greens now I also decided to plant some green beans here yesterday so these are young okay and I have which is called a MRA mix push mix so these beans should not grow very tall so I’ve got this this and this and so I will label those later with my labeler I have to get more pots I got a few more bags of potting soil I’m going to put potatoes in here and so today poppy and I will be working in the garden I’ve decided that I do not want to put the garden I have some raised beds in the back and I’ll work on that later but I don’t want to put I want to put my herb garden and all in the front which I have ordered some more herbs My Rosemary time and I think it’s mint and I’ll go and get those and Transplant those today right poppy you ready for it you ready for it okay so here we go that Journey today this has been one week since I planted this black beauty zucchini and it’s looking really good good this is early prolific squash it’s looking really good too I’ve uh learned to put these baskets over the top of my vegetables to keep them from being eaten or destroyed by certain pests like the B the birds this is my collards they’ve they’re out of shock now and they’re starting to to uh Sprout they’re starting to um perk up okay uh right now there’s only one other thing that has actually okay here’s my other squash this is the straight neck squash and this is after one week okay put that basket back on there if I can without tearing up anything okay and this is my wild arugula okay so I’m excited about that it’s first time I’ve ever planted squash or lettuce okay I’ll take care of that later I don’t want to destroy my plants and these were gifted to me um by one of my church members there’s that large um Collard the oldest one and I’ve been using meme oil to kill the pest okay the spinach has not sprouted yet but so far not too bad for a week’s work for one day’s work and weeks worth a time okay as you can see I’ve managed to get my landscaping fabric laid out with the help of one of my church members and I think it’s going to work okay that’s it for this video I hope you enjoyed it as much as I enjoyed making it I’m a retired school teacher enjoying retirement and this is part of my journey so if you like the content that I share like subscribe and share and we’ll continue to do these kinds of things I travel I do projects around the house and I just meet with 1. One of my sister-in laws grow vegetables in Home Depot buckets and has had great luck growing things that way. I hope you have the same good luck, you are inspiring me to plan a vegetable garden!
