  1. Hi Laura Love ur Garden 🪴 Its Looking amazing every season more and more established by the year! I wanted to let u know that mayb before you throw away ur branch of climbing roses you should try to save it ( it has worked for me on some roses) you can take like a foot of the leaves Just like you have taught us when u make beautiful flowers arrangements and then u cut the end diagonal and u can do a couple of things
You can plant it straight to the pot on the soil or u can use half of a potato 🥔 stick the end on it and plant it or third: get some hormone powder wet the end and add the powder before u plant it ( its so beautiful…who knows mayb u will have success and have another rose bush to add to all ur beauties( mayb Bethanny cam help with this experiment and later u can show the result) justam idea Thanks for all you share it brights up our day🔆

  2. The latest is that plants actually prefer to be planted in hard soil for their roots to grow into. I'm guessing the idea of tilling the ground might just be for growing food crops?

  3. Your tiger eye sumacs are beautiful but I cringed when you put them in. I was hopeful they wouldn’t spread, but I would never trust a sumac not to. You should keep one or two and put it in a big pot with some tough landscaping fabric superglued over the drain holes though. That would be beautiful. And keep it contained. I was a bit horrified when you transplanted it so near to the fence line in the dirtlands. Planting sumacs near fence lines do not make for friendly neighbors!

  4. Laura and Aaron, why don’t you put up a few shade sails in an artistic way, for both your kitchen garden and the pond area until the new trees grow enough to create the amount of shade you’ll need?

  5. I really really enjoyed these last 2 garden tour videos. Hearing Laura and Aaron discuss possible plantings and plans is enjoyable. It gives insight to how ideas come about. Then I think of possible ideas for our garden. I really enjoy seeing everything grow. Also gives insight to ideas in my garden.

  6. I’m on team artichoke! I started some artichoke plants because I love yours so much. 😂

  7. Your videos are never too long! The only problem is I have to watch till the end,and make more coffee…lol. I hope your pond issue can get straightened out, it just takes time. I haven't seen Douglas for a while, did I miss something about him? Love seeing the kids toys around, shows they love the outdoors too. Was so nice to be lead by you, Aaron. Love seeing you on camera more.

  8. Hi Laura and Aaron, Love your videos they are so informative and inspiring, I have used a lot of your planting tips, bought my own plant auger to fit with my black and decker battery drill, works great makes planting a lot easier, also topped off my pots first saves on adding potting soil later. Your family is a treasure, keep inspiring and giving tips ❤❤❤❤

  9. ❤😊 Aw what a Beautiful tour Loving all Ur projects, colorful Beauties ❤😊 On Pond, my Mom always had these cool kit's, colorful kinda like tarps, different angles, they covered her Pond, all over for years until later her plants, tree's grew for natural shade, she loved a couple and kept them, oh forget what there called… like a tent, butt triangle 🔺️ long shaped over the pond center, I think at one time she had 7 all overlapping, geez I'm I wish I could remember what Dad called them, they were high, like up 15, 18, 20 feet above, had heavy suspension out too huge post's Mom used them for bird feeders out off the side, it was so magical, wind would blow, there flopping blowing, water trinkling, fish were protected!! Sun adds such hot ray's, opened no cover of anything it cooks, the algae just grows, she even invested in another above water filtration system another mound, just to hv more water flow, them skirts covers like tarps, but huge kit's were fun, and helped the algae, her colorful fun it added more Beauties, then green algae slowed way down, she had a guy come about every 3 or 4 months, general maintain and clean up. I remember her statement with all we do still needs routine care!! Hope U can find what I'm talking of, Best in all Ur Projects ❤😊 Big-Hug's ❤😊

  10. Leave the yellow iris with the black…it's a nice contrast. Not everything has to be symmetrical. lol

  11. Thanks you, Laura for your extensive tour throughout your beautiful property. I couldn't believe the size of your huge Hosta and the artichokes are amazing as well. Love your white picket fence in the background. Lots to accomplish but you are up to the tasks or challenges I should say. Both you and Aaron put your heart and soul into your land and enjoy all of your many projects. I miss seeing the window boxes outside your home but understand they dry out rather quickly! Happy Gardening & Summer to All.

  12. Russell is reacting to the cats pajamas. It is a mint and that is why they call it cat mint. They adore it and it makes them super friskey ! my cat loves it when I bring some inside for her. She rolls all over it and even eats the leaves.

  13. For the trees outside the Hartley what about some more birch. Light and bright and the wispy gentle nature of the birch will mimick the movement of the weeping willow in the backround.

  14. Never a problem, watching your video. I love to see the new growth on the property, and I agree with a previous commentator we do always say LAURA and laura does put in a ton of work and so does Aaron but she has a whole wonderful team and she is the first one to say she could not do everything without them. I agree with laura very much on not putting the dream stream in until they can get that pond under control. The last thing you need is mor algae filled water. You know stagnant trying to flow through your property. And I’m an equal opportunity. I agree with Aaron I do not like the artichokes I know you found a place and they’re doing well and you love your artichokes and I say it but I do not think that they are attractive at all in theHartley . That’s just a personal opinion everything else about your property is breathtaking. I can’t wait to see you next June. Most of the other flowers will at least be out, but it’s beautiful!

  15. This video is such a treat and so inspiring. I cant wait to see the horses someday! I did want to warn you that sometimes the heat from parked cars burn the nearby plants here in NC. Hopefully that doesnt happen with your new boxwoods in the parking area. Thank you for the tour!

  16. Terracing that back area might be good for erosion prevention, especially if you're going to put a treeline in front of it (even several feet in front).

  17. I enjoyed this video. It doesn't bother me a bit that it is so long! Russell is so cute! What a hoot. I am so sorry about the rose breaking off, I am sad with you! Hang in there with the pond. It's such a pretty area, but I can only imagine how frustrating it is for you. Thanks for being real, and sharing the good as well as the bad. God Bless! ❤

  18. Your videos are never too long! I love the growth of your plants! It is encouraging to have faith in the "1st year they sleep, 2nd they creep, and 3rd they leap" ! You have black leaf elderberry plants. I planted one, and it is doing beautifully in its 2nd year. I want to ask if it can be contained with pruning? I'm not sure if the space I planted it should be allowed to get as big as yours.😊

  19. Started to laugh at 1:14 – Aaron looks like a real life Pig Pen walking through all the dusty dirt as it billows around his ankles.

  20. I have two glow girl spirea. I put them between a white paper bark birch, a drawf Alberta spruce on the other side and they are in front of a row of blue spruce. Pretty, pretty. They look amazing in front of the blue spruce.
