  1. Go with the 9 feet. Then you just have to do a top cut every now and then. With the distance from the neighbor fence in the distance, you need the extra 3 feet to hide the neighbor's fence. No need to be able to view the neighbor's fence. Keep it private.

  2. Aaron, why do you like the silvery blue of the juniper but don't like the artemesia? They are the same exact color!

  3. Will you be planting the corner fence area where the boxwood ends? Add red twig dogwood there to conceal fence and provide winter interest? Thank you for sharing.

  4. Ah US, you're very lucky that the box caterpillar hasn't made its way to your shores. It has made it impossible to grow them in the UK and most of the rest of Europe. Who has the will to fight them when they can have up to three generations in one summer 🤣 yew and euonymus all the way.

  5. I love boxwoods but here in southern England we have had a new pest from Asia called boxwood moth in the whole of the uk and has devastated lots of boxwoods. I’ve lots half of my boxwood pyramids to them so I’m going to choose another small evergreen hedging…if you have any tips or suggestions I’d be greatly appreciative, hope it doesn’t make it to the states

  6. hey Laura its always a pleasure to watch ur videos!! I'm from Belgium (I think its a zone 8 a/b) and we cannot plant boxwoods because of an invasive caterpillar that eats all the leaves of the plants and because of a fungal disease that causes the plant to die within a few weeks. Due to the fairly strict, but in my opinion justified, EU illegislation on insecticides, it is also almost impossible for us to spray the plants effectively. Do you also suffer from this in America or is this caterpillar not (yet) found there? I hope for your sake that it will never occur there because most gardeners here in Belgium have had to pull out all their boxwood hedges and replace them with Ilex crenata😩😦😧

  7. Put them hay racks on the fence coming into the property. They would be so pretty and welcoming to see them as you enter. That wall is going to be nice in just a couple of seasons. Are you going to be planting up the college this year or the pool? Thanks for sharing!

  8. Just watched Jim Putnum who talked about irrigation and trees. He suggested watering a wider area around trees to encourage roots to spread a greater distance from the trunk.

  9. Good morning! Have you considered planting a few extra boxwoods out in the garden to have in case one in the hedge dies?

  10. “Not allowed to talk about it until July 1.” As an employee at greenhouses they have so many rules and regs for growers. PW thinks they are a lot more special than they really are.

  11. Good Morning!🌲 I love the Boxwood Wall! Thank goodness for augers. They made easy work planting the Boxwoods! 🤩🙌🌿

  12. 💚🌲Hi Laura, Aaron, Benjamin and Samantha Grace! What beautiful boxwoods and motivation for anyone wanting to enhance their lovely space. Thank you so much for all the inspiration 🌷

  13. Every day I sit down to have breakfast and watch your videos. It's like a routine that brings me joy. I love gardening and being in the southern hemisphere almost entering winter, watching you planting and sharing your beautiful garden helps me pass these cold, dark and rainy days while I plant my bulbs (not many thrive here in zone 9b almost 10) and make my plans for next spring. Thank you, guys, you're the best.
