I’ll be planting all from my June Box!!
OH HECK YEAH FINALLY AWESOME TEACHING. Thank you for explaining each plant, what it is and what you can do with them. Great when you said Salad Station helps us see for salads. I've heard other channels say these plant names but they never explain what it is or what it's used for. Excellent TEACHING 😊❤ Thank you so much ❤😊
I have Swiss Chard.
Your sunflowers look amazing! Mine are always devoured by grasshoppers and other insects. The leaves are half gone, full of holes and look diseased. Maybe because I live in the country. I basically use them as a trap crop.
How I never get notified anymore?
I am going to start my garden now
I was looking for more swisschard seeds. Lol! My red sorrell has been in my yard for about 4 yrs. I cut it when it gets too large and share it with my friends' chickens. He gives me eggs. Win win!! Thanks again Kim!!
I'm going to grow all of them!!!❤
Im growing rainbow swiss chard!
Thank you so much for your videos. I just love watching them. I'm new at gardening I just started yesterday. And no clue what I'm doing lol.
Swiss Chard for sure, I have wild purslane which volunteers, I love the crunchy tart taste of them. I think the red sorrel might do well for me, so I may try that.
best flower to attract pollinators?
Nice beautiful green over there I just planted Swiss Chard today
Hi Kim. Last Thursday I harvested out my shelling peas and snow peas. In their place I have Martino's Roma tomatoes growing. Friday I harvested out the kohlrabi and potatoes, and I harvested Swiss Chard. Saturday I picked zucchini, crookneck squash, lemon squash, and cucumbers. I have fall potatoes chitting for a July 2nd planting date. I don't have a replacement crop for the kohlrabi yet, but soon, so I covered the bare soil with leaf mold. In July, I ll start seeds for cabbage, and transplant the seedilings where I have carrots growing, and pulled up the kohlrabi. In August I'll start seeds for brocolli, cauliflower, and Napa Cabbage. They are my replacement plants for the summer squash and ground cherries. The cantaloupe and watermelon will be replaced with turnips and carrots. From there, I'll have to decide on what I want to grow into the winter—definetely more garlic. My leg still hurts. The nursing staff yelled at me for not going to the ER at last Friday's hospital appointment. No, I still havent seen a doctor for it. Ready or not, I have two peach trees to plant, and a Prairie Fire crabapple tree coming in the mail Tuesday, so I have to get digging. It is close to summer. I am supposed to be sitting in the shade, eating porch tomatoes, and drinking sun tea while watching the garden grow, not working my butt off. LOL!😄😄😄
I had no idea Amaranth was edible. Interesting!
Good for u kim have u ever grown asparagus I'm might be growing that for the first time ever 🍅🍅🍅
Silly question – most things change flavor when they bolt. What about the kale? I read somewhere that the flowers didn't change the taste of the greens?
Great summer greens Kim. Enjoyed the video. 👍🏻
Got it! Chard, Kale, Sorrel, Amaranth, Purslane & New Zealand spinach! Years ago u did a heat tolerant salad greens vid, I think with Perris Island Cos & Black Seeded Simpson. I can use Memorial Day off to plant!
I live in Arizona where our high is 115 degrees to 120 degrees. Will those plants grow in our massive heat?
Hi, hello Mac I’m growing Swiss chard, Amaranth is growing everywhere 😃, and the New Zealand spinach you are right I don’t have to planted again it always comes back and I’m happy about it 💕
Zizzling summer is an understatement here in Florida. Over 90 °. Can't plant green's until fall or winter here.
Happy planting.
Love your garden, zone 11 here super hot. But always love your tips.❤
So fun!!!
I’ve only ever planted CHARD, so this was new info for me! 🙌🙌🙌
Need to try the New Zealand Spinach. That’s new to me.
