I wanted to make a little video to introduce how I am using scything alongside permaculture as a step towards my interest in grass-based systems for producing food.

  1. Love your work. Bought your book. Actually bought it twice because Iโ€™m old and forgetful. That gave me a spare book to give to a friend! Win win. Thatโ€™s what youโ€™re talking about isnโ€™t it.

  2. Always enjoy your knowledge and your approach to nature! It always helps me to further develop my knowledge, but also get a feeling of community. While I love the solitude of gardening, it can mean that you feel a little disconnected when dealing with the frustrations etc. In that way, your videos and community around it help: we may be alone in our own garden, but we're not lonely in sharing the excitement, challenges, puzzles or succes of gardening. So thanks! I also enjoy the video style. Hope the old concept will also stay, as I live a good garden tour etc, but this was beautiful too

  3. I love this new format! Keep going, Huw! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ€

  4. Fantastic! I'm just moving to the Lampeter area onto a couple of acres of grassland. my intention is to do something very similar to yourself, so I'll be watching keenly your integrated design approach.

  5. Great video ๐Ÿ‘ My granny allowed me to use a scythe to cut a meadow when I was a child. I think it's even safer than using a trimmer ๐Ÿค”

  6. Love my Austrian Scythe. Amazing to see the similarities and differences between your new site and mine. It'll be fascinating to see the development of it. Thanks again for a great video.

  7. Bore da Huw, grew up ,in North Wales, then in France – North of Paris then adolescence in Normandy – and for one year am living in Galicia – north western Spain – I was lucky and am very proud to have been gifted your great book for my birthday and you inspire me to, step by step, sow by sow, to be self sufficient. Your videos are truly beautiful and, once again, inspiring. Diolch

  8. Love this video style! Great information and example… as well as the follow through and the why of it all. Do you recommend a good source for the scythe? Blessings on your growing season young sir! ๐ŸŒป๐Ÿ›Carolyn in Ohio ๐ŸŒฟ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’•
