hi everybody and welcome I am so glad that you’re here today is going to be a really awesome video because we get to share a lot of our garden our garden is waking up after such a dorcy and winter of just sleeping and everything looking like it’s all dead or it might not wake up all of a sudden we start hearing all this dance I always say that in Spring is when dance is happening because there’s so much action happening around us I start seeing the birds I start seeing all the different blooms the different colors the little butts coming out the little leaves popping up lots of color everywhere everything is so vibrant the temperature rises there’s a lot of action happening and here in our garden we grow a lot of perennial we are in Maryland in garden zone 7 so I always try to Garden in a very smart way if you’re new here to our Channel we always like to all keep everything organized in ja’s community YouTube so there’s lots of playlists in here for you to enjoy we have a playlist for gardening we have a playlist then for do it yourself a playlist for decor for home remedies for recipes for cat videos for he Coy days traveling content Puerto Rico lots of different good stuff there’s a little bit of everything for everybody back to gardening I like to Garden into as I was saying a in a smart way and a smart way for me so as you can see in this video I’m using then my best for my back because I have a herniated this to herniated this so I have to be very careful because I’m always in constant chronic back pain so when I go to gardening I make sure that I have a protection for my back so that way when I’m bending or whatever movement I’m doing I’m aware that I should not be bending in any weird way that can actually affect further more my back so that’s one of the things that I do whenever I’m also going outside into the garden I try to Garden whenever it has been raining after a few days of rain everything is much easier to do and also if you’re doing some digging any digging of holes and of course the ground is going to be soft it’s not going to be hard um and dry so it’s also easier to H handle the plants that I select are also perennials meaning that they survive the environment that we are in it’s not like the animals that as the word tells you annually you have to then replant it back again so that’s double the work triple the work quadruple the work so we try to limit as much the work that we have to do the weeding also the weeding I don’t do as much weeding as many people do because I use my plan um as I was mentioning perennials but also edible gardening so lots of food and also lots of the weeds that people look at and they’re like oh these are weeds that I need to remove for me they’re actual medicine so I like to read about the plants that we have around them and the uses that I can do also with the plants if there’s something that is toxic that I remove it but also I also don’t have that much work to do in the sense of putting per uh fertilizer and putting pesticides because I also try to protect the environment that I am in and to protect also the community around me I know that if I were to put all those crazy fertilizer full of lots of different you know chemicals and also pesticides then that’s going to be damaging not only my water because we have a well in here so our water is private it doesn’t come from P public water so we have to be aware of that and also the water of the people around me and anyway so that all of that leads me then to in a Smart Way create work but not a crazy amount of work cuz people think about gardening and they think that it’s a lot of work but if you work with nature and just respect nature the way that it should be respected then it doesn’t become that crazy amount of work so in here we are in a really kind amazingly kind Community as I always tell you all if you have been here for a while you have heard me say said that many many many times you are all an amazingly kind community and I honest to God believe it I started this YouTube channel and slowly sharing how we are converting our lawn into our garden and converting a house into our home and you have been seeing evolving if you want to see the garden how it started you should check that first video a few years ago that I did of the Garden Walk it was just bare land just grass there was nothing in here and slowly we have been putting all of our perennials our plants that can survive this environment in here at garden zone 7 all of our edible landscaping putting so many trees we have fruit trees of pears and apples and blackberry bushes and we have then Ras uh raspberries we have then also the the CR the what is it the blueberries we have the pears we have also our strawberries we have also our fig trees we have our peaches we have so many things I mean there’s a a whole list of plans if you want to see there’s hundreds of PL that we have been planting so there’s a list and I’m going to put it in the description down below and I’m going to put it also in the comment section I’m going to pin it for you guys I always try to be as much as organized and share with you guys as much as possible uh I love the colors I mean I’m looking at this video as I’m talking to you and the textures and the colors are just amazing right here also another smart thing is to propagate so you we propagate a lot in here you can see that I’m propagating this bush over here so what I do is I just take the branch I put it against the soil I make sure that it’s going to be staking you know stuck and it’s not going to be moving by the wind so I just stick the the branch directly into then the um piece of mulching here just REM little mulch putting directly inside of the soil once it touches the soil that I know that I can actually create root and that’s it and now I’m going to have now a new Bush coming out right next to it it’s amazing how nature Works our blue our blackberry bush can do the same thing as well not every Bush can do it but I’ll be more specific in in later videos of how you can continue propagating we do propagate most of our plants I mean all of our uh be irises I also by propagation many of our monik Daisy also by propagation so there’s a lot of propagation going on and we try to use also everything as multiple different purposes as you can see there’s a lot of Evergreens and there’s a lot of perennials that are are going into dormy so we have them the perennials that go into dormancy but then during winter you cannot enjoy them so what we do is we also complement by having them that Evergreens as you can see over here we have our Spruce which are Evergreen and so they’re fantastic because during the winter we’re able then to still enjoy them you might see them the spruce and you’re like okay they look like Spruce but I see also lots of medicine we have a playlist only for our Spruce of all the Amazing Ben benefits that he has that you can do so many teas or eat the spruce tips also for antiviral antibacterial and so many benefits look at the Black Beauty Elderberry now so cute which is amazing because it helps us also with boosting our immune system it also helps them with a person has asthma like me so our garden is just amazing look at that beautiful leaves right now spring is so beautiful and the sky is so blue so our garden is full of medicine full of food full of a lot of great Landscaping structure because I want it to be beautiful for us to see so we also have as well lots of flowers as well as you can see this hedge that I created over here which we have the combination of perennials but Evergreens I can see perennials I can go into dormy and then I also have this beautiful trees are growing little by little which I call the chase trees and those trees gives this wonderful purple flowers so I’m very excited about them and they’re full of butterflies and lots of wonderful bead and all of the pollinators that even you know help even more our garden and oh my God this be look at that so beautiful oh this is the new section that we’re creating in the garden I’m slowly going to be putting in here oh look at that yes this this is what people will Kill U kill it and say that it’s just a wheat but for me it’s just medicine so I do eat them as a tea and then of course in here we have a bamboo more food over here our wonderful fig trees about to bloom I’m just watching the video with you guys and enjoying as well and then of course I I need to prune a little bit as you can see I’m pruning the Monti Daisy for just removing the old uh you know branches that they’re not going to be growing anything else this year but I didn’t have to replant it again it grew back again all of my new beautiful branches so it’s so amazing to just grow perennials because it’s way less work that you have to do and here I’m just taking my hibiscus some of the hibiscus flowers I have a few I definitely need to do a video for the Hibiscus we have many varieties some of them you don’t have to cut the branches but this one the flower grows from all the way from the soil oh all the way back again again a new complete wonderful flower so you have to remove the old branches so it’s a a little bit of work but way less work because I don’t have to do do a digging and put again the flower in here are is I know it’s going to be growing again the flower itself this season this new year it’s amazing how everything works but please if you’re gardening first go ahead and check your garden zone I mean while we’re growing in here might not grow in your area but your area might grow amazingly fantastic other stuff that I cannot grow over here like in Puerto Rico oh my God my mom grows amazing my father grows amazing fruits and vegetables in Puerto Rico that we cannot grow here like the mangoes oh the avocado woo I miss them so much because it grows in that wonderful garden so 11 but I cannot grow that in here in our garden it’s outside but I’m definitely growing inside the house yes people if you’re new here yes we are grow a lot of food also inside the house anything that’s going to be tropical yep it’s inside the house you will see little by little little growth happening I apologize for my beautiful community that I took a little break of not posting a lot but believe me that behind the scenes I have been recording so much because you know that I always like to create content I love to always take the camera and just take pictures and videos and there’s so much content that I haven’t shared with you guys so so there’s going to be way more content coming your way one thing is for sure I do enjoy enjoying the gardening intentionally so I int intentionally make sure that I enjoy the process of growing the garden the garden has been evolving a lot so it’s wonderful to see alongside with you guys also when I check the videos how much the garden has evolved and I enjoy seeing the process of the germination or the propagation so many times when I go into purchasing or having H cuttings or things that I can grow in the garden even though that they’re small I have this anticipation and this joy and this excitement on seeing it growing I know that many people um enjoy and have a a good um Happiness by having a rapid rapid reward and just seeing the trees already establish and buying everything already big and it’s going to be also more expensive cuz if I were to buy for example a uh blue D Berta Spruce and it’s bigger and it’s already fully grown so it could be hundreds of dollars versus a small one baby one could be maybe you know $15 to $20 so I do Save A Lot by also buying baby trees or baby flowers and then propagating and there’s also a joy in that enjoying hey we did we did see this growing oh my God I remember when it was so tiny and then looking back in the pictures and the videos and it’s so much excitement at least for me the slow the slowing of the pro the slow process of seeing things grow it’s just very rewarding I hope that you also find some joy and seeing the slow process around you and within you and how beautiful that makes you and makes everything around us as well there’s Beauty all around us and we are truly a miracle may you enjoy the day and may you enjoy the Miracles I love you guys so so so much thank you for being part of J’s community and if you have something to share or remember something from our garden or as you have been having any inspiration from our videos or if you also enjoy and and have that communication with your garden because I had mentioned many times in my videos before that I do talk to my plants a lot and I walk in my garden and I praise God and this is where I have the biggest connection with God so if you have any experience that you would like to share come on to the in the comment section down below and share with us I always enjoy our beautiful fully kind community and you are all awesome see you in the next video bye
