in this game I’ll be doing some gardening with the help of a ghost it’s a very cozy and relaxing new game which is out now this is Garden life a cozy simulator and it’s out right now on PC PlayStation might have heard this is a difficult time for us Robin who organized and cared for the community garden was sadly taken from us too soon we want to honor their memory that’s why we’re looking for what’s the prettiest name you can think of Jasmine has to be up there he I’m J it’s so great to finally meet you thanks a bunch for stepping up and volunteering this Garden really means a lot to us sure oh I’m like moving in the thing why was that like already sad honestly just sad music and saying this thing happened I’m already like oh okay I’m crying feel free to have a look around the garden’s not going anywhere wow look at that view it’s actually kind of pretty isn’t it actually look quite pretty there welcome to the Garden enter the garden G move around look around the board is empty check back later I really like the art style it’s got its own kind of you know it’s like a mix of somewhere between anime and like a popup book is what I’m getting do you know what I mean it’s cute drop box so this must be our garden as you can see you’ve got your work cut out for you I wanted to come by myself but I’ve just been so busy that’s okay we will get busy in life but now you’re here and you can look after the garden properly and I reckon you’re going to do great thanks I believe in myself oh I guess we have to like repair this bridge weed you can rip them straight out of the ground a few weeds in the garden might keep pests away from your plants but too many and all they’ll do is steal water it’s a fine balance gardening is so hard I tried to get into gardening a little bit last year I bought loads of bee bombs like that are sort of pellets filled with seeds that are good for bees I basically wanted to just plant a load of stuff that would be good for bees and I spent quite a bit on all of these different seeds and Bee bombs and was out there digging away and planting the m and I did some sunflowers and everything else and nothing grew compost bin is a great way to make weeds leaf piles and plant cuting more useful leave them in here long enough and they’ll turn into compost you can feed to your plants that’ll make the plants grow faster which basically means a quick way to a prettier Garden where’s me compost bin I can’t see with you there in the way it’s not the Dropbox is it check out the comous bin by the sh hello by the shed huh oh it is this okay wait okay last bit of cleanup it’s a shame none of the plants made it but their seeds should still be salvageable place oh no okay so wait how do I put this in the compost I have to drag it in ah right click there you go okay so then she gave me a shovel yeah yeah I think like I think I planted them slightly too late it was kind of June by then and there was a heat wave started up so I didn’t really give him a chance but I was watering them every day I was did my best nothing lemon grew man bit of a bummer tried my best try again next time which will be soon maybe this game will inspire me to try again uh make Crim dig up old plants okay a new plant variant have you ever gardened do you have a garden or an allotment allotments are very popular here like there’s long waiting lists for them I honestly would love like people who grow their own veg I see you’ve brought a ruck sack with you too smart I don’t think I ever saw Robin without theirs they’re great for just throwing anything and everything inside um like imagine just growing all your own vent Edge in your garden especially with the cost of living these days and how much food costs like gardening and growing your own vegetables it tastes better first of all like stuff that is grown in a garden tastes amazing tastes so good and you know it’s just like healthy and no pesticides or anything ah if I had the time and the space just like grow beds everywhere and just growing like tomatoes and uh corn and like what else could you grow do some potatoes chili plants lemon that be so good as I’ve said before that’s the dream is an island or some land somewhere and just like garden stuff and uh rescuing cats and maybe some dogs oh look at this cute little charm okay so um change hot bars there we go great work so far I think there’s enough room to start planting now seeds need a little bit of room to be able to grow properly some more than others otherwise you can plant them anywhere I’ve left Robin’s plant book in the shed too if you’re ever unsure what a plant needs okay let’s see what’s in the shed very cute place a bench set up a garden stool sort out the garden hose have the bridgy Belt have Rubble clear away a cat hi what are you doing here what you doing here a hi I had a little cuckoo clock dude who doesn’t love a Cookoo clock my n had one when I was growing up and if it was close to the hour i’ Lally just stand there and watch it be like waiting for the cooko there’s a cat me at a party where’s the pets pets not people okay so we can see uh a striking flower plant known for its large trumpet-shaped blooms and vibrant colors the amarillis H that’s a pretty name call your child amarillis amarillis morphus a Hardy plant that can be grown in many temperate climates sure I mean why do I want a picture of the the last owner I mean I know she’s gone but uh straight in the bin right let’s plant some stuff I shall have a little Rose Garden here [Music] roses daffodils I mean it didn’t say what space thing I’m going to assume that’s fine so here is your watering can thanks every seed you plant will need some water to get it going underwatered plants will be Brown crispy and they’ll droop a bit too and the ground around them will be discolored okay sounds delicious Ah that’s satisfying amazing amazing look at this look at how great the garden looks already um you’re a natural you’re an optimist I think that’s enough for one day there’s no rush with any of this you should have time to explore anyway just keep an eye on the time make sure to get some rest at the end of the day when you click with the watering can but you’re not pouring it or it’s empty that’s so cool oh oh sorry happens to everyone um refill check the time of the day oh got the little pocket dude bring pocket watches back remember gardening patience is key sometimes all you can do is wait as your plants grow and flourish if you want just take the bus home I won’t be able to meet you tomorrow but robin but you’re cute you are red breasted um I was going to say what was I going to say oh yeah like planting and waiting it’s you know gardening is like a good kind of exercise impatience I mean these are coming through already so it looks like stuff grows pretty fast but I read this quote about you know if you plant a seed you don’t check it every 5 minutes so why are you second guessing like your decisions it was something like that sort of stop going back to decisions that you make when you’re putting work in and kind of let time take its course when you stop when you’re planting seeds of things with work or life you just plant the seed get on move on patience you know which I think is cool shiny like this is very anime style isn’t it artwork let’s go home for the day then is can have I’ve got them in I’ve got them in to shop I’ve been read actually you know what I just finished this is so funny I just finished the secret garden first time I’ve ever read it I know I feel like I’ve seen an adaptation of it a movie before just finished the SE Secret Garden on my podcast reading books so good so good this is perfect timing for a game like this then just snip away at a plants flower to get flower cuttings or prun the stems to get stem cuttings for compost and and don’t worry the flowers can always grow back gotcha point being in that it’s like a heavy theme is um well not a theme but there’s a lot of Y it’s in Yorkshire so there’s a lot of Yorkshire in there and it’s even written in a really like sort of uh what’s the word like phonetically written out like Yorkshire we M do this and we Mund do that and all this it’s very it’s very good beautiful book I was like trying not to cry whil reading it in the last couple of chapters cuz it’s just so nice it’s like so just ah love it one of my favorite books now I think um get the secur in the from from Leslie shop in the Village Square there’s a uh do I I go to the shop Village Square wait we can go somewhere I thought we was just why I thought we’re just going to be in the garden this is the village isn’t it lovely it is that’s my shop there Leslie’s you’ll find all sorts of useful things for the garden there cute and Robin and Jasmine’s little Pavilion project je is through that Archway to the right but that’s closed for now okay such a shame what happened what happened anyway take a look another shovel a sickle a deco brush you can paint a bug Hotel I bought like three of those I don’t know if they ever got used um just during the heat wave I thought they could use somewhere to hide much Yorkshire is in that and having to do a Yorkshire accent through like 50% of that book I try to avoid doing full-on voices when I’m doing the podcast cuz I people are trying to sleep and obviously it’s not me being goofy on a YouTube video you want it to be good so I I think it was okay it was like General northern it’s not you know I’m not a linguist man get these cuttings very s to make this a place for the community do you feel like you have Community where you are in the world I feel like it’s something which is solely lacking these days is unfortunately online and off you know easier to be in a community online than it is offline which is bizarre right but that’s like a m it’s a million times easier to feel part of hey I’m part of the Cozy Gaming Community I’m part of this Discord where we talk about games and we’re like this type of person or I have a book club I I’m part of this YouTube comment section just like all things that can make you feel part of something more than real life like like how it’s it’s hard to be part of something in real life I think we’re all so separated so you want some daffodil cuttings there you go no Garden is truly complete without beautiful decorations and while you place them wherever de they’ll instantly Spruce the place up okay and if you’re looking for more we’ve always got a big collection in the shop into shop right so how it’s going to be e and Q and we can place exactly as we want beautiful like that nice well this was such fun it was nice to be out of the shop for a bit oh this is that’s why they appear on the screen like this they’re kind of meant to be actually in the world with you I see for some reason I thought this was like some disembodied voice situation but they’re quite literally like if I position it there it’s like she’s standing here in the garden oh but it was lovely to meet you Deary she been you’ve done some excellent work so far Robin would be very proud of that I’ve have no me love this tree what is this good morning hello I’m Lori hi Robin sister Jasmine told me you started a couple of days ago and said I should drop by you’ve done an amazing job so far thanks it’s a bit strange seeing someone else working here than them but I’ll get used to it that’s the point anyway I was wondering something Robin was looking into was adding some climbing plants would you please here’s something for you to practice with climbing pants place a tall wooden Arch divider in the garden okay oh this tool where would I put some climbing plants you know what I’m going to do that for you I’m going put it right here and then what I’m going to do is move these rocks actually liked how that one I bought some Ivy seeds too and there might be some still in the shed I suppose Robin said climbers can be a bit tricky you have to plant them very very close to an object for them to take I’m sure you’ll get there you seem to have done everything else very well up to this point sure one big rock behind in that corner want them to be a bit more sort of visible depending on when like a little rock garden it’s looking a bit Shamy then down no it’s too much it’s too much get out of this mode stop oh build a little Tower of rocks if we want to a Golem it’s better more natural uh get the Ivy from the [Music] ship you jump scare me uh um Ivy suit how do I take them there we [Music] go why do you love to play with kitchen to so much I not buy you enough toys all the toys in the world all the cat trees just would love to roll around the roll of kitchen towel and shred it to bits do you know how much do you know how expensive this is Obie right let’s put these right here then get them growing I really appreciate you doing this the ivy specifically but everything else too please take this Robin wanted to do so much with this Garden I’m glad someone else gets to now I might not quite be there yet but I really hope that seeing it all come together will help me sorry anyway I’m very grateful if you don’t mind could you go into the shed please when you’ve got a moment what that’s actually really cool I like that ah yes see that to-do list between the two tables underneath the clock that’s mine okay when I finally got this Garden I wanted it to be somewhere for the entire Community there are some great people here who deserve somewhere to reflect and relax for a while and obviously I never managed to do it all now I don’t want to put you under any pressure this is your garden now but I would really appreciate it if you could finish the list for me but that’s enough nagging for me today we’ll pick this up again when you’re back in tomorrow oh I love it that’s so cute place a Bend set up a garden sto out a garden house all righty cute what an interesting little likes to come by in the evenings MH it would be nice for her to have somewhere to sit maybe if you do that for her she’ll ask one of her customers to build a garden stall for you okay Robin oh there’s a crafting table on the right in the shed with some creativity I’m sure you can find a way to build a bench from scratch it can’t be that hard as you can see the weather’s finally turned yeah gardening across different kinds of weather can be a little bit tricky plants react to different weathers differently rain is good that means you don’t need to water your plants it’s all in the book I kept if you want to check it out does mystical green glowes mean I’ve just spotted some seeds that are ready to pick no need for a tool you can do that by hand finding seeds can be a little tricky sometimes so keep an eye out for those plants that are positively glowing my cats ran away cuz I sneezed sometimes the plants glow with a different color that means you’ve got a new colored seed try to collect them all hello come here a scary sneeze bad sneeze so we can collect seeds harvest seeds ah nice I like it ah it’s cute so we can have a line of them here Apple deals yeah is that cool is that [Music] cool there you go even more wow these have like sprung up [Music] they gosh I feel like I can’t even see the like this big one in the middle here is like so crazy that it’s covering the others that I planted so how would I can I ah and then can I move no I have to replant you okay well now I know that you’re so big if I put you over here I have to re grow you though okay this is empty [Music] okay oh I mean it’s raining I don’t actually need to uh water it I do that I’m new at this okay okay we’ll leave these we’ll kind of fill it in the different area I want to see what they look like first you know so crafting squirrel bench so this is stuff that we can make a flower ladder that’s a magic frog a Garland the squirrel bench I need normal Boulders normal rocks oh my God how nice does that [Applause] sound beautiful so we actually going to use these in the recipe I wonder how I get more of [Music] them you [Applause] know I need one more normal Boulder get the one from behind maybe I have to maybe buy some from her [Music] shop ah what that wasn’t a boulder is that not a boulder that’s a boulder okay squir little bench in my backpack how do I equip you wa that’s a should go and find Leslie in the village and tell her she’ll love it and don’t forget to mention the stall oh look time passes quickly whilst waa sitting I got to night time really quickly oh my gosh arrange that what of my my customers is a carpenter tell you what he came in recently asking for some bouquet for his sister’s birthday and now the garden is up and running again perhaps you could make them for him a favor for a favor is a much nicer exchange than money don’t you think here is a list of what he asked me for set them in the drop boox and I’ll pass them on to him here’s a few seeds to get you started are you still here Deary you know you really shouldn’t work so hard I know it’s time for me to close up shop for the day okay you should think about going home too the shop is day day [Music] five hello there’s a street party coming up we’ve been asked to put together some bouquet for since it’s local we thought it might be a nice idea for some of the flowers to come from the garden you think we’d be able to supply some roses and sunflowers hi I would just love to add a spot of color to my apartment it could really use it get some Rose and Poppy cuttings there’s a patient at the hospital struggling with some loneliness it’s not strictly okay but knowing what that’s like I want to do something nice for them could I have a few red tulips okay so we got some jobs we got some jobs so then how do I check if I want to ah ah anytime I want I can pick these [Music] up feels bad what if it hurts them I mean I feel like I should just do this every day because they’ll grow back and then [Music] um we’re ready for like jobs to hand in to people I’m like Edward Scissor Hands Up In this [Music] be sorry I’m probably supposed to do it like [Music] this yes send that one and that little one and that little one I’m just like anyway it’s uh raining [Music] again so if I got to my pack okay let me compost some stuff then it turned into Quick growth first fertilizer compost all the piles of leaves and let’s plant these new seeds oh I should put these in the [Music] Box deliver deliver deliver I need I I can’t put them in bit by bit I have to have everything I can’t just okay so I still I need more poppy [Music] cuttings gotcha okay so let’s grow some more poppies which were which ones these ones maybe she’s giving me some more roses so we’re going to put these out here if we [Music] can [Music] hey they angsty today and daffodils and sunflowers love a sunflower let’s put hope tail in my mouth let’s put these sunflowers over here and some more daffodils for my line perfect [Music] perfect okay I I guess I um give these another snip wow these grow quickly and we want to collect these seeds thorns and um off we go my Grandma loved to grow roses and at her funeral everyone was given a little pack of seeds which were from the roses that she grew which I still haven’t planted cuz I want to get better at gardening before I do that you know like that has to work I have to have that one succeed so so IED to have a packet of seeds like from her garden which I thought was lovely you know okay let’s go home now that’s the power that’s the magic of the garden just like The Secret Garden you [Music] know no rain today back to watering another request the flower Shop’s been asked to make up a birthday bouquet for someone in the village spare some daffodils tulips and roses stuffed mailbox wow just I love how quickly it grows you know cuz obviously what what’s this they’re eating my plant or something or is it bees is it happy bees or is it bad flies I can’t tell I ain’t to tell you it looks like you’ve developed a pest problem look for The Cloud of insects buzzing around the plant pests can be removed with a bug sprayer Dam maybe Leslie has one in her shop maybe Leslie has one in a shop not me not herion yo oh hello Deary here for some bug spray apparently why can’t we just live in harmony got some bug spray Care Now W just spray it on an infested plant before the pests can kill it that will shoe them away oh but don’t forget some weeds can draw draw pests away too that might help you manage them well we like leave some weeds around the place right so we’ve got our bug spray yeah let me put the bug spray on sorry little buggies have to do it is it not spraying hello why doesn’t this [Music] work now you’ve done it you made me turn my chair I don’t know why it’s [Music] not it’s empty refill ah okay right we have to like Pump It Goa hard gardening with to nor way behind me goodness um cool we’re good let’s water wait I hear more bugs I do oh it’s quite hard to get them when they’re clustered like this I think maybe um it’s a sign to like have things a bit more spaced [Music] out for sure tough uh watering oh I can hear some more yeah definitely got to space everything out hey hey hey hey hey come on you’ve had breakfast there’s no need to be unhappy what more could you want in life life really as a cat your job’s literally to eat and sleep my friend oh I didn’t mean to throw that down but it’s good to know that I can just balance it on top of plants hey oh dear hang on there we go I’m back sorry they have a bit of pent up energy I think today so I just took a little break to go and play with them for a bit with their toys get them to run some of their energy off rather than on each other you know there’s nothing wrong with cats playing every so often but they do get a little bit riled up with each other sometimes as siblings do um and occasionally I have to pull claws out of each other you know like they their claws come out um I can’t get my watering can back please I might have to move this plant so I can just actually access things oh no we need that and we want that
