Urban Gardener DC

Where we hop to provide a perspective, some education and a lot of fun gardening in the City, Washington, DC that is.

Community Gardens is an urban agriculture program available at multiple DPR locations within the district. These lots, that are maintained thanks to a dual effort by DPR staff and D.C. citizens, are key in the fight against food & fesh produce deserts. They also serve as a great outdoor space for productive recreation for anyone with a green thumb.

hey guys welcome to the channel Chris here with Urban Gardener DC uh in today’s episode I wanted to talk about atome space saving and germination uh as a as a key point right where we all don’t have a big farm we don’t have a greenhouse so I actually use uh my kitchen countertops right so under under my cabinets we have those lights right so we can see when we’re chopping up food and whatnot um on our counters and what I do is I have a bin very similar to this right it’s about I don’t know about 8 inches tall I flip this upside down and then I’m able to place my germination trays right in approximately about two in

  1. oops, I think your video got cut off at the end. I have one shop light but I don't think it does much, all my plants are in my kitchen windows. I would love to see how you have your grow station set up, do you have shelves and lights and all that? I started some Winter sow jugs this year, not sure if I have anything growing yet, I'll have to go peek out at them today.
