In Bengaluru, where there’s a shortage of water, the city’s Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) has made some strict rules to stop water wastage. They say you can’t use water for washing cars, gardening, running water fountains, doing construction work, or for fun. Malls and theaters can only use water for drinking. If you break these rules, you’ll get fined Rs 5,000. If you do it again, the fine goes up to Rs 5,000. They even have a number you can call to report water wastage.
