hey you guys good to see you here on Grassroots gardening check out our jungle Greenhouse man me and Javita and some of the other ladies that here at Grassroots have been cleaning this thing all day long we got all the floor washed down we got Birds laughing in the background Larry tore up his swing again today but it’s been a real productive day this thing has been really you know Springtime was so dag on busy we hadn’t had the time to really get out here and do a nice wash down and get the Dead Leaves off so it was really getting on my nerves so uh huge thank you to the ladies coming out here today and helping us get this jungle whipped back into shape but don’t it look so good y’all we got all the leaves washed down Harley what you think about it today buddy what you over here laughing about huh you’re not going to laugh now are you cuz the camera’s out uh of course not and our bananas that I thought oh yeah now you’re going to talk that I thought were going to be riped like a month ago or still just taking their sweet time and not ripening and the flower head is still way down here but it kind of got the ground clinged up up here a little bit now that banana hasn’t made quite the mess dripping its its sap or or nectar I meant to say dripping down on the concrete and kind of staining it up a little bit but really coming together in here y’all look at these big old banana leaves this place looks so awesome we’ve had a lot of customers come through today and just compliment on how how cool the place looks and and one thing I am going to change up and I kind of hate that I’m going to have to do it but we need to this whole Fountain thing that I built just has it worked out I got a few leaks behind the wall that I can’t access the pump keeps turning off so I think what we’re going to do is come in here I’m going to fill this all in with Rock and then of course we’re still got to do our living wall that we haven’t had time to do do the living wall maybe do an orchid display over here where customers can actually you know then access and and buy orchids we got an orchid blooming right here I forget which I think this is a dendrobium of some sort I forget the name of it but it’s got a little Bloom on it big stag horn Fern doing well up there some giant ferns so I think that’s what I’m going to do that way we can just plant the what used to be a waterfall plant it up just make like a really cool living wall space but an area that customers can access because again it’s just not working out it LO it was a cool idea but we’re not making any money off of it so I need to get somewhere where it can at least generate a little bit of Revenue but it looks so much better out here now that it’s all washed down and and cleaned up let’s go to the other Greenhouse right now there’s a really cool plant that’s blooming that I want to show you and then we’ve got got to go down to the Cori Pond cuz it is just absolutely showing out right now and we got the girls back here helping to clean up our stock plants you want to tell the world hello Miss Pam hello then we got Miss Joy and joita this place looks so much better Joy I sure appreciate your help today we’re going to go over to y’all’s greenhouse and mess around a little bit then go down to the koi pond hey have you fed the koi lately we need to do it I have but while you’re down there if you want to give some food yeah where you keep your food at I’ll get it for you [Music] okay probably finish give it the rest of it yeah okay all right thank you ma’am let’s go walk down to the nursery area and feed the coy cuz I kind of got a greenhouse full of people so we’ll have to come back for me to show you that plant that’s blooming right now but everything is looking really nice we had some uh good bit of rain come down today so all the plants were loving loving that little rain shower still got a lot of citrus a lot of veggies and just you name it right now man we are we are loaded down getting ready for Mother’s Day weekend that’s coming up soon we got a couple of sales that be happening here soon so we are AB absolutely loaded down I mean there are plants and it is blooming in every corner of the nursery right now the girls got our greenstock planted up put some trailing vinka in it so that should be really cool here soon have all that stuff trailing down looks like we might be leaning a little bit though I want to come check some of these tear cuz it looks level on the bottom but doesn’t look level right there we have to check that out before it falls over but I mean just look at the color all everywhere man that is my favorite time of year didn’t need it raining on a Saturday cuz Saturdays are our busiest day but never going to turn down the rain and well you can’t stop it anyway so what are you going to do and our buddy Ethan with Amen Corner ponds came back and got our we had an issue with our pump something I think a rock got up in the impeller and broke it so he came and put us a new pump in today so our Creek is back flowing all those plants are super happy because some plants like my picture plant there without water was starting to look a little bit rough and we got some of our water lies blooming down there in the pond got all of our Aquatics in the barrel SE section over here oh look at this Iris blooming that’s a cool one I ain’t seen that one before can of lies just all kind of different all kind of different aquatic plants some picture plants and where do you guys see the piture plant down here at at the actual Koon look at all these knockout roses are in full bloom yellow pink apricot you name it everything is just busting out right now all the spa all the drift roses the budia these pugster series they’re starting to starting to bloom all of the beautiful Barberry different colors that lime green got kind of apricot colored one there burgundy Oleander blooming all the Japanese maples are fully Lea out but check this out right here y’all this thing almost looks like a postcard right now we’ve got some Spa blooming right there ferns are sprouting up look at all of the blooms on this pitcher plants isn’t that just unbelievable creeping jenny is starting to come back the fish are doing really good and then look at this Iris over here the rain kind of beat it up a little bit it’s got those really nice purple blooms on it that Japanese maple trailing all the way down into the water all the ferns like I said a while ago have sprouted back up the Cana right there is coming up through the creek that big uh Crimson Queen Japanese maple up at the top this place down here is just it’s really unbelievable man it’s just so pretty I could stay down here and watch the fish all day long let’s get them fed up here you go guys y’all were pretty hungry weren’t you Miss Pam said we could give you the rest of this bag so here you go y’all eat up it’s going to be your Sunday dinner tomorrow is that cool just to sit down here and just watch them eat wish I didn’t have to go back to work we going to still walk around a little bit before I do go back it was just we kind of had like a lull in the customers today and the rain finally subsided and everything was just looking so refreshing after the rain I figur it’ be a good time to walk around and show you guys and film a little bit this is becoming one of my favorite plants pretty quickly so this is a sasia or the pitcher plant so it’s a carnivorous bugs go down in there and it actually gets it new nutrients from digesting the insects you better be careful fly you going to turn into plant food but they bloom it’s pretty short duration of when they bloom but when they do it’s just absolutely gorgeous all right let’s walk around and see what else we can we can see look at how healthy these ferns are I love it when they first emerge they just got such a cool clean color to them and sound of that water down here going into the koi pond we better we better move on before I just sit over there in a chair and take me a nap and we still haven’t planted our vines on the trellis that Dave built us down here I think he was going to do some U lady banks rose let it grow up but be kind of cool to do a couple different vines on this thing since it’s so large maybe we could do some lady Banks and Peggy Martin or Confederate jasmine or something that’s going to look really cool when this thing gets covered there’s our buddy Dave you I I caught you see what I’ve laid out see like all right let’s go see what you got and all of our Japanese maples have leafed out now this is one my favorite areas down here and Dave’s been busy busy planting up this area and I assume he’s dragging this one around here to add add to his Botanical Garden let’s see which one this one is oh forest pansy this is a nice one Dave is this the one you have at your house don’t you have a forest pansy it’s a really nice one love it handles the sun lot better than I thought it would does it yeah oh and this is something cool this is a creep creeping raspberry right Dave yeah creeping raspberry which I’ve never even heard of but it actually produces edible raspberries and just kind of trails along the ground so I think miss Connie planted up this section for us down here few different junipers some creeping flocks going to put a drift rose right here I think that’s a good spot man yeah I think it’ll take the sun better than the Japanese mle and it give different texture and more color I agree I think that’s the perfect spot for it and it can handle that little bit of afternoon afternoon sun that we were talking about the other day yeah I think that’s a wonderful spot man Drop guy over oh yeah which one is this one that is uh Uncle ghost Uncle ghost oh yeah and I thought maybe he would do better in this spot yeah with a little little more shade a little more afternoon shade this Cherry PE is going to be a little flat on this side anyway we can prune it up high enough I think to let this fill in yeah I think it’s perfect man that be okay yeah I need to bring my power planter down here for you though that thing will make short work of it long as we don’t long as we don’t grab a big old Pine root that might be might be might be an issue to work way in between yeah and then they put the uh the emperor one up there okay I like that that take more sun and that’ll balance those two spot God looks amazing down here Dave you’ve done a fantastic job buddy oh it’s F never thought we’d have our own Botanical Garden did you no but we we’re working towards it just need just need more time to spend I know time is the uh one thing we never have enough of well taking advantage of a rainy day yeah fewer people yeah it’s been a good steady day though y awesome we’re going to go walk around look at look at a few more things this is the hugan Dorn right yep so they’re going to put a hug in there another hugor and Holly sorry what was you say I kind of an anchor consistency through yeah and they’re great little shrub too looks good man good job buddy yeah this place has just turned out beyond my wildest dreams just absolutely gorgeous down through here and then over here you know I told you guys not too long ago that we lost Big Mama that big Crimson Queen Japanese maple that I planted right there so we went ahead and cut it down and Dave’s got an anabi shadari which is a red leaf Japanese maple that we’re going to replace big mama with I think that’ll be a nice spot andaba likes to get kind of wide which is kind of what I want for that spot right there I’d love for it to eventually get large enough to where it gets closer to each sides of the creek the sunshine lustrum we’re going to have to move out of here they’re just under a little bit too much shade and they’re not liking it and they’re letting us know about it but check this out over here we got this horsetail Rush coming up and then Ethan taught me I didn’t know this but you see right there and right there we have got impa planted actually in the water and they do great sweet potato vines going to spill over man you give this place a couple of more months actually you know what you give it a couple more a year or two when things really start start to you know get established and get a little bit of size to them and this thing is going to be really something to behold the customers have just been loving this place down here they’ve come down here and we’ve got some picnic tables right over there where Miss Joy and Mr Dave are right now customers will come down and just bring their lunch sit down here and I can’t blame them man I’ll tell you this is one of the most serene places that I’ve ever seen I’m just proud to have the team of folks that we have to help build this thing and maintain it and turn it into what it is today oh look at these drein just blooming over here I tell you what this is not not a good place for somebody who can’t focus long like me because I just see color and I just start running over to it look at these Endless Summer hydranges we got a lot of different varieties down there of course some of the pink ones some of the purple and blues look at this golden Falls Red Bud right here this is one of my favorite trees I love Red Buds but this one is just really cool so this is golden Falls and then this one is Ruby Falls so obviously a much darker colored Leaf but heavy weeping habit on both of them rain kind of beat up some of our stuff it really came down earlier man these pieras are Weeping a little bit but look at the color on these hydr Stranges ah if I could keep the deer off of them man I would take a couple of these home today and plant them in the yard got Oak Leaf hydranges blooming over there just everything is just loving this temperature right now cuz it hadn’t got crazy hot yet and then of course we did get the rain shower today so everybody’s perked up and looking really really good I really like this believe it or not for cyia right here so yellow Bells a lot of people call this as the common name this is a variegated form of it I just I’m so happy now that I’ve got that power planter I don’t know if you guys saw the video but I went ahead and ordered that thing the other day and it has been a game Cher man uh I can’t believe uh I used to dig with a shovel now I I don’t know I couldn’t go back there’s no way that thing has just made it so much easier so now I can start taking plants home throwing them in the ground a lot quicker and not dreading having to go dig with a shovel we got a lot of stuff in that came we got like three truckloads of stuff that came in last week so we’re still that’s evidently these must be sold but we got a lot of stuff we still haven’t put up just yet some more beautiful Japanese maples came in lots and lots of stuff came in we’ve got to get it tagged and move it back out into the into the nursery got some tree form stuff right here and before the rain these roses were absolutely beautiful but of course they got knocked down a little bit with that heavy downpour that came through just a while ago and look at this blackberry bush Dave said that it was kind of encroaching on his Rose space last year so during the winter he just whacked this thing back to the ground and uh I’m kind of thinking that might be the way to do it cuz this dude is loaded down those berries are huge when they turn black I’m coming down here and getting me a couple handfuls off of that thing one thing we’ve got to go look at in fact I think there’s still some folks in our Greenhouse but we’ve got to go down here and look at this sign area you remember we put in some compost down there not too long ago well Miss Joy and Javita and I think miss Connie came down here and got it planted up it looks amazing lot of my little beds that I planted about 2 years ago are really starting to mature and kind of come together got some nice dog Woods in here some aelas underneath some kind of berry that I planted I just kind of went wild when we were first building the place all of these beds through here I was just planting planting up a storm we had an issue with our water wheel down here the other day so they got it unplugged might have to check on that but look at this place out here y’all I’m telling you what I am proud of what they did down here so we brought our good stuff compost in outlined uh the out by the road right here but look at this planting man looks like Dam Disney World or something but this is going to definitely catch the attention of folks passing by looks like we did some burgundy colus then some orange Sun patients then some vinka and then a volis on the outside and when these things get a little bit more size to them that’s just going to be a rainbow of color now I’m responsible for all the plantings Beyond it because that’s why it’s so Mitch matching I just would grab stuff that I liked and just trying to get some plants down here by the sign but didn’t that turn out awesome you guys I couldn’t be more proud of this little planting down here this is going to be fantastic and we got some nutgrass trying to pop up don’t M that we’ got a couple Drift Roses down in this bed and then when this guy blooms everybody stops and wants to buy it so this is a perennial hibiscus I forget the name of this one but it’s from Proven Winners has a giant I mean dinner plate size pink Bloom on it so it won’t be long people will be swinging in we unfortunate thing is we haven’t been able to find any to stock at the nursery so when it flowers everybody’s going to be stopping wanting it and this little guy’s done real good down here this is a fire chief thusa all of his new growth has that real pretty pinkish then with the kind of down into the bush you know it turns a little bit more green but this is one a really really cool Bush we’ve got some full sun hydranges down here this lime Barberry more full sun hydranges tossed in a couple different Evergreens but the place is really really shaped up man I tell you my hats off to the the guys and gals that came down here here and did this cuz everybody is going to see it let’s go over here and plug our water wheel in and see what’s going on with this thing I don’t like it when my wheel ain’t [Applause] spinning yeah I don’t know maybe our pump is clogged up down there I have to come back and check that out later cuz I do like my wheel spinning but that uh ground fa recepticle keeps kicking on and off right there so got something going on with the power let’s go walk back up now and see if our Greenhouse is still full of folks and walk around in there a little bit and let me show you that really cool thing that’s blooming well there’s still a slew of people down there in our Greenhouse so we’re going to divert one more time CU I need to check on my Japanese maple Nursery around here and I got a little bit of an addiction to Japanese maples because all these Maples back here are my own part of my own private collection and my plan was to graft on cuz I’ve got some pretty rare ones down here was to graft off of them to be able to have more for sale but as y’all know they’re just ain’t enough hours in the day and I haven’t been able to do any grafting so what we’re going to do instead now that we have our power planter I’m G to start taking a couple Maples home every day and just throwing them in the yard I probably got I don’t know 70 something different Japanese maple cultur bars down here a lot of them with white variegation pink variegation I mean I have got got I’ve got way too many I got a problem y’all look at this one this is a thread Leaf Japanese maple super skinny little leaves got some of just awesome awesome variegation I this is uh stressing me out right now you guys look how many Japanese maples I’ve got a plant somewhere in my yard now a few that I do have multiples of like these butterflies right here I’ll take down to the nursery and sell them but a lot of them I just have one of that cultivar and I just can’t I just can’t part with it if I only have one I I will not sell it I don’t care how much somebody offers me for it I just uh I need them I think I need to call the Japanese maple addict hotline you guys cuz this is really overwhelming me as I’m like where I’m right now as I’m talking to you guys I’m thinking in my head where in the world I’m going to plant [Music] them because I’m quickly running out of room at home CU I’m all the time taking plants home and filling up all my beds but we have got to get on this soon because they’re outgrowing their pots some are looking pretty sad cuz they’re not getting the amount of water that they need so we’re probably going have to take a couple of them home today and get them planted we got a new delivery of pots in the other day so Cameron and some of the other folks have been trying to get them priced and get them out here but a lot more Pottery just came in as well as a bunch more fountains we have just been getting inundated with deliveries whether it be plants or pottery hardscapes that on top of all the customers it’s just made it really hard to get this kind of stuff spread out at the Garden Center for folks to look at let’s see if we can dip into the greenhouse real quick like let me show you guys this cool Plant hey we finally got it got it to ourselves it is this is the one of the busiest places on the property just because we have so many plants in here and it’s just such a neat atmosphere but check this out right here you guys so this is a night blooming Cactus look at the size of that flower it almost looks fake that is so cool I’m surprised this hasn’t sold yet today because it’s got another Bloom on the other side right here but yeah I believe this is a it’s a night blooming Cactus but I believe it’s a form of a night blooming Cirrus that we tried to watch last year at the house but we were watching Watching The Dead blooms if you remember that little that little Saga but I’m surprised this guy hasn’t sold cuz look just look at the size of the flower on that dude that is so cool I always want to take it home myself but we need to leave it here and sell it we got orchids blooming out here airplants aquatic plants annuals just a slap full of color and if any of y’all know if caladiums or if deer like cadium let me know in the comments below CU I’d love to put some of these in some shadier spots but if deer like them then they’re going to be a goner but just look at the different colors and the leaf patterns of some of these things are just unreal but you talking about brighten up a shady spot these white CL cladium as well as some of the bright ones will sure enough shine like a like a light in a dark Shady spot okay oh you got a big old load you’re welcome well guys we just had a good many more cars pull up in the parking lot so I’m going to go help some C customers but I appreciate you guys walking around the nursery with me and as always the more you know the more you grow we see you on the next video

The more you show the more Iβm impressed. Thanks for your time!
That's my fantasy land! Groovy baby!! (Golly my age age is showing)
Lol the amount of Japanese maples but they're really interesting and beautiful.
Thank you for sharing, really enjoy this and you other channel, the koi are beautiful!
Is it possible to graft a couple of different scions onto one mamma plant? I've seen them do this successfully with prunus (plums etc)
Be careful not to overfeed your fish as a general rule don't feed more than they can eat in 5 minutes. Garden Centre's looking great.
Iβm gonna have to tour there one of these days. Itβs so pretty. I could fall asleep by the pond too
looking first class,
Wife and I visited for the first time this past weekend. Beautiful place really loved the Japanese garden/stream! Also i must say the staff was so helpful and made it fun shopping around.
Beautiful place Ryan! Never seen a garden center that has what they sell, planted and in a setting that lets you see what you could have in your garden. Great marketing strategy.
Nice garden centre looks brilliant ππ½ππ½
Japaneseβs maples are my favorite tree as well! I had one that died and Iβm still salty over that.
Beautiful Koi pond, im a sucker for water falls and water features. Very nice landscaping, real like what you did with it all.
Spoken like a true gentleman " I don't like when my wheel isn't spinning ", lol
I've been a landscaper in central NY for 6 years now, I do alot of our patios and hardscapes but the more I keep working in the industry theore the plant side has become interesting. I live this everyday, but still come home watch it. Your center is awesome, very inspirational! I also run equipment all day, and love your other channel as well the mulch, concrete, and landfill are right my alley! Keep up the great content!
Absolutely Beautiful I could walk around there all day and just look
You should be proud
