I just got a nice loph in the mail from China and I want to graft it on a huge healthy pc stock Ive been saving for a special cac. The loph is a little soft from shipping, my question is would it be better to root it, get it to plump up, then graft it? Or should I just send it? The last button I tried to graft was a massive fail and I lost it. Don't wanna do that again

Send it. The aren’t supposed to be turgid
Cut the rootstock and graft the tip.
Wash or sanitize your blade each cut and use a pantyhose or rubber bands to apply even pressure without deforming the button cactus.
Once cut leave it alone for two weeks or more just let it heal in a shadier place than usual
Then enjoy
