Container gardening taking care of your plants #containergarden #takingcareoftheolants }#planterhgc2024

hey what’s up guys how you guys doing
today all right today we we doing
container garden and I want to show you
a few things that I do to keep my soil
soft that the roots of the plants can
grow
lovely I get a piece of stick I don’t
get a sharp object I get a piece of
stick and what I do I start moving the
soil
start moving the soil
around so this what is going to happen
here this going to start
creating waking up the soil and creating
that air flow and when you wet it the
water can run through and soak the root
and the plants can
also able to push their young root and
push them and make them develop into
nice big
powerful
Roots okay so let’s come over here in
this area here we have some hobes this
one is
um
lemon
Vina all right this the leaves smell
just like lemon but I’m growing them in
C oil as you can see actual CL
oil and I have a a few Peppers coming up
here that I got to transplant pretty
soon I have my Strife coming up here but
if you see what I’m doing I’m waking up
the soil around them I’m not using a a
sharp object I’m using a piece of stick
cuz I don’t want to cut or damage any
Roots all right so I come over here to
this lavender right here now this is
Rosemary and I do the same thing because
you see you got to understand every time
you wet these
plants and the Sun come and dry them out
what happen it it made the soil get hard
so while it’s getting hard hard and hard
you make it harder for the plants to
push out their root freely so if you
come from time to time and you wake
these up then you have a chance of
getting great production
you see look at this if you just leave
this like this it just going to get
harder and harder and make it so
difficult for these young baby roots to
get anyway so what we do we come this is
why we recommend planting your plants
deep so by doing all this waking up is
not going to do anything to your to your
um your roots this is important guys so
this is my little lemon I have going on
right here here I’m growing a lemon from
seed so I have it going on here and as
you see I’m softening it up because I
want the roots to able to grow and get
developed so you see what I’m I’m
getting ready to CH plant this
plant but I’m still softening up the
roof all right so this is what I’m
saying guys always try to soften the
roots and you will get great production
peace

  1. This is something that I instinctively did, but I never thought about the fact that I was aerating the soil. I thought I was just being a fussy plant mommy 😄. Great tip for new gardeners.
