I wanted to graft this piece of tbm-b to my pachanoi, but I'm nervous about cutting into it and I wanted to get a second opinion. To make sure it can be done.
I also bought this tbm-b grafted onto a Texas torch that I wanted to also graft another tbm on the other side. The side with the graft seems to be not growing anymore.🤷

You won’t get much growth from pic 1 till you cut the ungrafted piece. If you don’t mind the scion not growing you can let it go longer so that pup will have a better chance of rooting. These things take forever.
Slice a nice flat cut for pic 2. Slice a nice flat cut 3-4 inches down on pic 3. Wrap ace bandage tape on top of the tbm in pic 2 and firmly connected to your pc in pic 3 and hook into the spines. I usually use 2 pieces completely covering it then keep indoors for a week to heal. Under grow lights or window sill will work. Do not point a fan at it, it will dry too fast causing the scion to pop off.
