I've struggled for years with edge maintenance. Plastic options never look good or seamless. Using nothing at all is a pain to maintain and edge. These Colmet 8-foot steel sections look great, stay in place, and are awesome when trimming. Best part I never have to clean up the lines in Spring. I do have to re-tap some spots in the Spring after the freeze/thaw of Winter but thats easy enough. Menards sells them for roughly $20 per 8ft section. Spikes are included. Good option if you're looking for something & don't have tree roots to deal with.

  1. Hmm, corten steel lawn edges are supposed to be installed in either well above the sward (at least 10cm) or exactly at the sward level. Yours is installed just a few cm above the sward; this will be awkward to work with; you may even accidentally ruin your mower’s blades.

Or do you mean with re-tap that you will adjust the height?
