Elon got mad at this interview? What a baby. He didn't come across half as dumb as he does on X
Loved RDJ ❤ but the movie was boring 🥱
"Most people drive an SUV", REALLY? Tell me you are American etc. etc
I'm sorry…but bringing a sandwich to a movie about Auschwitz? I get that you need to eat, been there, done that – but Nazis and their horrors just turn my stomach.
Also bug trucks with long beds sometimes park so they block sidewalks… what will a person with a wheelchair or walker, or who needs an arm supposed to do?
Agreed, lawns are stupid propagating meadows equals loving nature back.
SUV is not a compact car. A prius is a compact, so don’t park your suv in the compact spot either.
It's funny…when Alyssa talked about how much fun she was having searching for her wildflowers she went on to say "It just makes me feel so…and immediately the word "joyful" popped into my head. And then she said "joyful". I just knew she was going to say that word because you can clearly see how much joy she's getting from creating her beautiful garden. 🌺
Oppenheimer was essentially a documentary. Sorry it didn’t fake a bunch of “alternative facts” to entertain you more.
Speaking of Oscars, I think it was an absolutely unforgivable crime that "All of Us Strangers" didn't even get a single nomination. Andrew Scott is one of THE best actors working today. Some even say he's one of the greatest actors of his generation. Every single critic that saw the movie said his performance was phenomenal. He's just so good but he doesn't get even a shred of the acclaim he deserves. Gee, I wonder why that is 🤔
Love you guys, but I do feel sad to hear you call a dog a "pussy" as a putdown meaning "wimpy and weak." But maybe this is deliberate irony or reappropriation of the term (not to mention that you're calling a dog a cat as well).
I loved the movie. I know it was very long, but I never felt bored by it and thought it went by quickly. I've been to movies and hour and a half where it felt like I was there for 4 hours. Sorry you didn't like it.
"Oppenheimer" was the "English Patient" of 2024.
OMG, you guys have hit on nearly all of my pet peeves. Thanks for letting me know that I'm not alone.
HOWEVER … we put in a natural landscape in our backyard, and I saw more bees and different bees than I'd ever seen. Building beehives with non-native honeybees can push out the native bees. Research and act consciously!
Barbie was the best!. Totally sexist Oscar picks. Oppenheimer – watch a documentary if you need to know about the atomic bomb testing. I heard that they didn't address the amount of cancer caused by the testing
don't get bees. Honeybees are out-competing many NATIVE bees. Provide habitat and nectar sources for the native pollinators in your area. Honeybees are NOT native to North America. That will help a lot. Not sure where in the US you live. In the SW US, there are more native bees than anyplace else in the WORLD.
As an old man in my seventies, I stumbled upon you wonderful sapphic sisters thanks to Steve Schmidt’s The Warning.
I grew up in the Midwest and our family had an orchard. We kept bees for decades. A. I. ROOT co. In Medina Ohio is where you can purchase your equipment and your bees. I recommend you use the bee strain known as Italian as they are hardy regarding climate but can be a tad ornery in hot weather… not meant to be any comparison to Ms. Mastromonaco. Also a publication under the name “Gleanings in Bee Culture” is very helpful. Best of Luck!
I'm still wondering why we have the Oscars. Another opportunity for the most privileged people in the world to fellate themselves and borrow expensive dresses (they NEVER actually buy that shit, even though they can best afford it). Fuck them.
Oppenheimer is boring, Tenet is boring, Dunkirk is boring, Interstellar is boring, The Prestige is boring, Insomnia is boring, C. Nolan is overrated!
Alyssa I am a native landscaper in sunny South East Florida. Good for you for doing a meadow, they are so amazing! I encourage all to try to change. Natives are beautiful and useful. All the wildlife loves it!
Dog park rant made me think of people complaining about socialism lol love this show
Obviously, history repeating itself is lost on some movie goers, Oppenheimer-wise. Commie scare-wise. Extermination of a people (take your choice of which people)-wise. Attention span- wise.
Education I everything you stop learning why go on !
I'm a pretty liberal guy, and enjoy most of what I see on this channel. I'm quite fond of women, feel bad about how you've been (still are being) treated, and support your various battles toward gaining true equality. The bit about "Oppenheimer", though, got caught sideways in my throat when it came time to swallow.
You see…My father worked on the Manhattan project and, no, it wasn't a wild party at the disco! The work at Alamogordo was tip-top, super-secret, and geographically isolated…pulling anything useful to a modern, action-addicted, movie audience out of THAT is nothing short of miraculous! I guess you need to understand the gravity and seriousness of that time and place before you plunk down your cash for a ticket and expect Forrest freakin' Gump!! If you need bang-bang, shoot-em-up or romance action set in that time…re-watch "Saving Private Ryan" or "Casablanca"!
I also heard a complaint that there weren't enough women involved…REALLY?!! And just what would you have those women doing?! This was the early-mid '40s during WWII remember! To help set the scene…a lot of rural homes still didn't have electric lights or indoor toilets! Marie Curie died doing radiation experiments in 1934…the very year my mother, also named Marie BTW, graduated high school with Algebra and Physics classes, no less! (rare at the time/place) Still, the number of women schooled in nuclear physics was, shall we say, somewhat limited! There were, as the movie shows, damned few women involved! Would you have the movie's creators toss a bunch of historically inaccurate women into the mix, just to make it more interesting for you?!…C'MON, GET REAL!!
If people want to see a movie about strong female characters set in the '40s and WWII, there are certainly good stories to be had. Let's lobby the studios to see something about the W.A.S.P., or Womens' Airforce Service Pilots and their decades-long battle to be recognized as eligible for veterans' benefits. It was Barak Obama's administration that finally came through for those who lived that long! I've spoken with a few of those women…in their 80s, they were amazing and full of fire! Helluva story!
A good movie about our "Rosie the Riveters'" filling defense plants when the men went off to war, then being displaced when the men came home, could be a very good story with a load of social commentary woven between the lines. Being that they were on the home front, there would be all sorts of room for character development and interaction. There WAS at least one movie made, but it was kinda' weak as I remember.
I also noted a derisive "bomb the Asians" comment in this video. Girls?…you gotta know your history before you go flappin' your gums about something like that! Look up "the rape of Nanking" and how our POWs were treated. This was all very 'fresh' toward the end of the war. Having assimilated that, perhaps you will come to understand why we came into the Pacific Theater of that war, on China's side, and with the goal of ending Japan. As horrible as it was, and I MEAN horrible, the use of the bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasak no doubt saved many lives on both sides. The citizenry would've followed the Emperor's order to defend the home islands to the last breath. I say those things with full acknowledgement of our treatment of Japanese American citizens on the Homefront. I'll also say that that was a very different time, and that the average Japanese of that age was in a very different position than those of today. The only constant in this world is change!
Also note that the main thing driving the speedy development of the bomb was to beat Hitler, not Hirohito, to the punch! Imagine, for a moment, Hitler having the bomb first! THAT is why Edward Teller, Albert Einstein, and the others composed the letter to Roosevelt that eventually caused the start of the Manhattan Project!
You all made some very valid points on other subjects in this video…but to pan "Oppenheimer" because it was 'boring' only conveyed that the four of you totally missed the point.
Oh! And leave your noisy foods outside the theatre, to not do so is extremely rude to those of us who have paid to watch the movie, not stuff ourselves!
Let's get back to shredding those who would make Trump king!
all things Oppenheimer sucked
Did they watch the same movie I did? Because Oppenheimer was brilliant.
I've REALLY enjoyed Milly and Alise! This was fantastic, HYSTERIA! Thank You ALL! Really connected with Alyssa on "Just be a good citizen."
Oppenheimer was boring and took a complex horrific event it made it a dull, male navel gazing and finding themselves fascinating.
Why not plant trees?
Love you ladies. So does my channel ALL GOOD

Not very smart, not very religious, but I thank God a hundred times a day for giving me an IQ above republican.
I live in Ocala, Florida, where I swear that 50% of the workforce is dedicated to some form of landscaping. My own front lawn was originally a mixture of Bahia and St. Augustin grasses. St. Augustin is beautiful and a delight to the eyes and a joy to bared feet, but is also thirsty and prone to parasites and disease. Bahia is less lovely but hardier. For years I maintained this with a combination of intense labor and great monetary expenditure, and it looked great, one of the best in the neighborhood. About five years ago, I basically threw in the towel and decided to let nature take its course. The lawn is now a mixture of both grasses and various weeds. This has actually lowered the value of my property significantly. But, you know, if I keep the blade height on my mower at 4"s and do the necessary trimming and edging, there is virtually no way for anyone walking or driving by to notice a difference. I have also stopped irrigating, finding that the rainfall in Florida is generally enough to keep the stuff green most of the time.
Thank you for this discussion. I had assumed I was just a wee bit mentally ill. Oppenheimer was technically proficient—and an absolute slog.
Yah can everyone stop kissing Christopher Nolan's arse now please
I loved it. If you don’t find physics fascinating, you could be bored by it. If you do, you can never be bored with this movie
YES FUCK LAWNS!!! Live in the desert of eastern New Mexico and the super wealthy have started watering weeks ago!! STOP WATERING GRASS
Should it have been entertaining?
Alyssa, thank you for the kitty cameo! What a cutie!
Just couldn't get into it, 10 minutes was enough
I don’t care for this channel. I’ve listened to a few. Don’t know why they have followers. Gonna give them a big, Don’t recommend this channel…..
I liked Past Lives most
An SUV is not a Compact. Sorry not Sorry.
I did not enjoy Oppenheimer
The answer is NOOOOOO! Hollywood BS. Remember this is the same organization that gave an oscar to Gwyneth Paltrow. It's only a matter of time before the rock, Vin diesel and jennifer Aniston win one
The Trials of Robert Oppenheimer on PBS is so much better.
No. Of course not. It deserved more.
Nothing was in its league. It was masterfully done in every sense of the intricacies of making cinema.
Oppenheimer was the worst movie of 2023/2024
Suvs are not compact and shouldn't be complaining about your compact monster truck not fitting in a spot. Who cares if the majority of Americans are buying tanks. Compact car spots are there to convenience small cars. Dump that SUV and get a Honda Fit.
