  3. That was a fascinating video. I don’t think I will be getting a hive because I’m allergic to bee stings but I’ll plant more flowers next spring 😊

  4. Hey Weedy been using the moon calendar for planting the winter garden in Sydney Metro and so far the germination rate from seed and bulbs has been phenomenal! Thanks for the insight!

  8. I’ve seen hive splits before you bring something else to it with your photographic background, really cool seeing all the details up close. More than you see in person sometimes.

Have you had to worry about varroa yet?

  9. If the colony is STRONG you can move it 15 feet away. I did it last month and now I have to split them in two. Awesome content, I really enjoy your channel.

  10. Hello, I recorded video how to relocate bees to any distance without worrying that bees would return to previous spot.

  11. There is so much to learn with bees. If there are multiple queen cells in a hive .. the first one to emerge goes around to all the other .. still in their cells and stings them to death! The area where all the males hang out is called "The Drone Zone". Every male that mates breaks off from the queen, falls to the ground, and dies. Males only carry their mother's DNA. All Drones die before going through the winter. Workers work themselves to death during the summer and only last 6 weeks as you mention .. but last all winter and cluster in a ball in the middle of the hive to keep warm. What kind of pests do you have in Australia, trachea mites, varroa mites, beetles, ?? Bee keeping is hard work! Nice video .. shared with my buds. 🙂
