  1. It's been windy around us, too. Sad to see damage done to your garden. It will recover with much preparation you did specially with the greenhouse.

  2. I've just been in my garden picking up debris from blown over storage unit in garden. Thankfully not as much damage as you, yet!

  3. Hi Ivan.
My sympathies. I know what you're going through. These winds have damaged my polytunnel, bits of which are now flapping in the wind…

  4. Found my plastic greenhouse at the other end of the garden this morning and pots and wash bowls broken with compost spilled out and seedlings uprooted.

  5. We've been luck so far in Upper Michigan this winter . No snow yet and temps in the 40's. I'm sure that will all change quickly come January.

  6. Peppers I brought in and put on sitting room windowsillare still growing peppers – I've even got one red bell pepper!! Cant wait for new growing season. Would love to have a decent size garden instead of my piddly little yard. Oh to have a greenhouse would be heavenly, shall kepp doing the lotto. Another storm is forcast for tonight/Friday with 80mph winds so hope you dont get any more damage.
Happy Christmas Ivan and thanks for all the wonderful advice. Stay safe x

  7. sorry you;ve had such string winds and they have caused some damage. I thank my lucky stars that we have no strong wind here although it is very breezy. We had strong winds a few weeks ago when the North didn't. Also had really sharp frost here when further North fared better. For a small country we certainly have huge variation in weather! Hope your weather improves soon. Happy gardening 😃

  8. sorry about the Greenhouse and the Allotment ….it's December 21 2023 i think it's the shortest day today, the first day of winter i better check Stonehenge …..now that it's winter, fall is on it's way ! i always plant to early …. 👍👍

  9. Ivan, I was pleased to see your indoor setup on the front room table. I wasn’t sure how those light panels could be suspended over the plants, but now I know. I can recreate your setup on my own dining room table where several seedlings are currently parked.

  10. Thanks Ivan, I hope that nothing else gets damaged and everything can be put back in place soon. Take care and all the best. Stevie

  11. SO sorry about storm damage. I keep changing things in my garden to hopefully survive the winds. I hope you really don't have any broken glass, the rest is, well, firewood. Merry Christmas!

  12. Hi Ivan and all readers/subscribers, yeah Ivan I feel your pain well look on it in a different perspective at least the panes on your greenhouses weren't smashed, here in Leeds when I pass a couple of allotments on my way home from work I noticed quite a bit of damage in these allotments. Good luck with your clear up and thinking about you.
    Take care and
    Merry Christmas 🎉

  13. Hi Ivan. That wind doesn't look good. Sorry to see the damage it has caused to your garden. Hopefully weather has now improved and you have been able to have a great Christmas. All the best for the new year. Trevor.

  14. Hi Ivan, just been watching your video on starting off peppers and just wanted to ask if you could put up a link to the lights you are using? Would be a great help for someone doing this way for the first time.
    Many thanks
    Miles.
