The people of Bengaluru the tech Hub of India are grappling with what is one of the most severe Water Crisis that the city has seen in recent history in many areas across the city of bangaluru like the one you’re seeing behind me citizens have to spend a long time waiting in

Cues at AR water filters to even be able to meet their basic water requirements with their homes their Apartments unable to meet the water demand sir just help us understand what is the water issue you’re facing in AR nagar what’s happening basically there is no water and nobody even has bothered to just

Look at the difficulties that the people are facing and and on top of this they are releasing water every now and then to Tamil Nadu this is the worst thing in the last 9 years I’m being in this uh place this is the first time that we are

Facing this kind of issue we have to wait at least half an hour here to get water and as far as I am aware so the water level has very I mean come down to a drastic extent here especially the bwells so that is uh one of the reason

Um for main problem and even we I mean where I stay I get C water also but um I mean sometimes we don’t uh get it in full I mean what we expect we don’t get so we get uh every fourth day previously

We used to get I think 6 to 2 so now they have reduced the timing so so that’s why even if you get on the fourth day your thump will not be full so that is also one of the problem for the uses there are still we have ample amount of

Water but for the drinking water it’s like very hectic you know uh in every area you know these guys are running ATMs for the waters but uh the thing is like um mostly they are out of service now I’m I have come from uh almost 3 and

Half half kilm to get the water drinking water at least it’s been 2 3 years last past 3 years we don’t have drinking water we were just used to take the water bottles of like bis and anything and today like uh it’s a working day today we are rushing for office and

Everything still we came here so do you have to take leave from office to come fill water for drinking not leave but uh work is delayed because of this thing the water shortage has hit residential complexes and Commercial establishments across parts of the city since the end

Of February with no relief in site bangaloreans are wenting their frustrations over social media residents are even suggesting pandemic era Solutions of work from home and online classes in an attempt to conserve water while most of bengaluru’s water requirement is met by the cavi river the bbmp bwells which is the bangalori water

Supply and seage board borwell Wells help fill the remaining Gap water levels in the cavi have dipped because of El Nino induced scant rainfall last year Karnataka State natural disaster management Cent’s data shows that water levels in the cavi Basin Reservoir were well below half their total capacity as

Of the end of February this dip is hitting the city’s drinking water supply and agricultural irrigation as well on the other hand many bwells in bangaluru are also running dry following groundwater depletion making the situation worse if we calculate the total quantity recorded for bangaluru is

2,00 MLD that is 2,00 million lit per day is required for bangaluru water sustainability right now from cavi water we getting 1,450 ml water that mean 1,450 million liter of water being pumped every day for water supply now it is a time for all of us to uh rise to

The situation and take steps to recharge the groundw that’s the only way forward immediately the explosive growth that the city of Bengaluru has seen has resulted in massive concretization of natural landscapes that used to be able to absorb rainwater in fact as per a study by the Indian Institute of Science

In the last four decades the city of bangaluru has lost nearly 80% of its water bodies like the one that you seeing behind me drying up now and during the same period the the land that is covered by concrete has gone up 11-fold for now the cost of private

Water tankers is skyrocketing in Bengaluru Karnataka deputy chief minister DK shivkumar claims water suppliers are charging up to 1,800 rupees a tanker up from about 700 earlier we will see that we provide water to uh very reasonable rate to all the people we know that we we are

Concerned about it because all the BS have been tried including my house B also has been tried I think the almost more than 50% of the bwells have been dried among 14781 bwells in Bangalore City 6,997 bwell have been dried only 7,784 have been working we are taking over all

The bwells of Bangalore City we are identifying the sources we will identify them water is doesn’t belong to any individual it belongs to the government that is the law of this country so we we will see that we are setting up a separate War Room in every

W with the War Room will come some tough decisions the government has taking over private water tankers B Wells and irrigation Wells it is also considering fixing rates for water tankers bangaluru water supply and seage board could find you up to 5,000 rupees for wasting drinking water authorities also plan to

Fill drying leaks with treated water in areas where 50% of bwells have dried up by now every key government agency has allocated funds to address the crisis the state has also instructed officials to use water sources within a 15 km periphery of the city to supply water to

Urban areas in addition plans are in place to use tankers to fetch water from nearby towns the state is also banking on on the anticipated completion of Phase 5 of the CI River Project designed to provide 110 L of drinking water daily to 12 lakh people which is expected by may this

Year chief minister sitaya has also laid the foundation stone for the rabati lift irrigation project recently which he claims will permanently solve the water problems in the City and surrounding rural Areas

  1. Destruction of lot natural lakes built during 16ty century.
Kempegowda had vision. He built lot lakes so that, if one lakes fills, it should not waste rather, it flows to next lake.

Current generation is greedy. Disastrous to nature. Definitely it is going to be horrible in upcoming days.

  2. Concrete places created nil water to ground. Not to mention the guy saying because of giving water to downstream states we are getting scarce water .

  3. Karnataka has a very stable government, they will provide everything with no worries as they are telling we have done all the things as we have promised during the elections last year

  4. Digging of forests and capturing lakes for urban development is the reason for this PATHETIC condition of banglorians. Pity them. Hope they get out of this trouble soon

  5. Desalination is the only option for Bangalore water crisis, and the government can do it without loss or financial burden. For example -A family of 4 is spending Rupees 500 for every week for a tanker of water, it means 2000 rupees per family. Estimated population is 12 million with family of 4, “comes to 3 million family “. So Rupees 2000 x 3000000= 6000 crores money is being spent for water per month . If government starts desalination plant . They can get estimated -72000 crores as profit per annum by charging them for water itself . And also the complete water crisis can be solved in Bangalore, in addition you can bring back the garden city to life . Please share this message to the government, if you seem this is useful

  6. When one has benefits and facilities ,no one bothers to protect or conserve these facilities like water and similar natural resources. In the name of development ,unplanned growth of city and construction of illegal buildings took place distroying this once beautiful serene city and its outskirts ..
Surprisingly , the city (Bengaluru) is tagged or named as Silicon Valley.,just because some IT companies have grown here .Many of these IT companies have equally contributed in making Bengaluru in such a condition and mess with unplanned growth .This city once known for its greenery and garden and lakes have been reduced to encroached lakes , having buildings legally and illegally constructed ,putting this once beautiful calm city to be called as Silicon Valley of India..for Reasons to be just laughed😅.
What a mockery of the original Silicon Valley.
These so called IT companies can't compare themselves with the infrastructure and planned city and benefits that the original Silicon Valley located in US .
How can Bengaluru, then be called Silicon Valley of India ,when most basic human need water itself is not available.?
Why are these IT companies fellows so double standard ?

One can only 😅 laugh, calling Bengaluru…Silicon Valley, Tech City ,IT Hub.

  7. Paani tabhi to milega jab paani hoga. jab hai hee nahi to kaha sw milega. waise bhi sabko croores ka package chiye, dollars chiye , govt ko to politics se fursat nahihai aur jinke pass money hai unhe koi farak nahi hai fir kaun kis ke liye sochega yahi sochne wala prashan hai.

  8. Just imagine if there is no water on the planet? Water gets dried up. then No farmers, no food, no water , poor and middle class will go soon, rich can buy a grocery mall and survive for another 10 years after that rich also will have to eat their MONEY, Afterall MONEY is such a Yummy Food. Thats why leftist is fighting for climate crisis. people are not taking it seriously.

  9. what was the previous government doing for 5 years? Bengaluru receives good rain and still lets all that surplus water to flow out 🤦‍♂️

  10. No water crisis in Bangalore or anywhere as per our millionaire Politician, In a country of the poor, where every leader or politician is a millionaire, All these people and politician will do useless work which will not solve any problem but these people will never do water harvesting even by mistake which solves 100% water problem. This is the height of illiteracy and the educated people are equally poor and illiterate. They have money and time to do politics in the name of campaign but they neither have budget nor knowledge for water harvesting. In the pursuit of foreign studies, educated people are becoming illiterate and they are also moving away from their culture and civilization, People consider showing middle finger while abusing in English as their status, Walking around half naked wearing short clothes is not called education. Looking at the respect and demand for English, it seems that in future, speaking your native or national language (Hindi) may result in fine or even jail. these educated people will be the cause of destruction of the country, even the foreigners will look at the Indians and wonder how they make fun of their own mother tongue or the national language or consider the English language as their God and status. Everyone should learn from countries like China, where art or ability does not require any foreign language, In a country like India, 90% people fail because they are not able to present their abilities in a foreign language. Indians who consider English as a status rather than just a language should be ashamed of their poor thinking.

  11. On Bangalore btm 2nd stage no water, that to drinking water also, we need water if we buy a tanker than also it's a 2,000 and we don't have money to buy all day it's a humble request for Bangalore CM.. to provide a water for us plzzz we don't have buy a water☹️

  12. Tall Luxury Homes for the Rich IT brats…
Empty, long queues for the Poor….

  13. Best solution is to restrict water supply to 4-5hours a day,not onlyin Bangalore but in other major cities of India till rains,as and when.Otherwise we are looking at a danger we may not be able to manage.

  14. Please save the lakes in Bangalore CM garu. Bring policy should not do any construction on lakes first otherwise go more worse in future.
