Brush baby during this video but what are we doing for this video miss eser talking about what we’re growing in our garden yeah we’re gonna go through our garden seeds talk about which things we love to grow I’m going to give my opinions but Esther has different
Opinions than me so she’s going to tell me which things she loves to grow in the garden and we’re going to make plans for what we’re going to grow this year does that sound wonderful all right so let’s set the seeds I like to grow potatoes you like to grow
Potatoes this is also going to give me an opportunity it’s giving our rabbits an opportunity to get out of their cages and hang out with some cuddles and everything thing um and sorry one of our rabbits is shedding so I might be getting fur off
Of him if you find his brush should be like underneath the stuff over here on it’s on the silver thing somewhere sorry you see it thanks baby he’s just he’s shedding so he needs help all right how about you be the one to pull out a
Seed packet one at a time show it to the screen and we will discuss whether we like growing that or not okay yes all right hold it up to the screen lettuce all right so with lettuce I notice when I grow it in my raised beds it doesn’t do well because lettuce needs
To grow kind of more in the shade so what I did was I got some um like stacking container type things so I’m going to be growing lettuce again we successfully grew it by the fence line so in the shade so we’ve got a lot
Of shaded spots in our yard and so we’re going to grow lettuce do you like growing lettuce um sort of at the end of the season we started to grow a little bit of it we didn’t really experience growing a lot of it last year cuz we
Kind of did it at the very end um but yeah it’s kind of fun to pluck off a piece and try some right yeah yeah it’s okay it’s not your very favorite all right let’s pull out another one wait this one how about you hold it
Up hold it close to the screen there we go what is that um it is there’s two ways to pronounce it brail Brazil that sounds like Brazil like the country well in America we call it basil in England and in Australia they call it basil I like basil yeah in
America we call it basil where we’re from but other countries call it basil it because it’s good get a lot of fur out you like it because it’s yummy and it’s good for cooking with and we can just like take some off and it’s real
Fun to grow it really likes the heat so um does really well in those summer months when other plants are suffering uh basil does really well in the heat if you have a basil plant that’s suffering maybe it’s still too cold and you have
To wait till it gets in the In the Heat of the summer it does well yellow bell pepper do you like yellow bell pepper yeah yummy but I think we like red bell pepper the most right yep these are seeds that I saved from our yellow bell pepper plant here
Is red bell red bell pepper saved it myself oh red bell pepper corn and no this is sugar snap peas do you like growing sugar snap peas yeah sugar snap peas loves cold weather so again we have to grow that in the shade over by the fence line be like we grow it
Like early spring it dieses Midsummer and then we grow it again in early fall so like when it’s real real hot like June and July um our plants tend to die except for the ones over by the fence line they do they sometimes survive through the summer all right those ones
We haven’t really done these are different kinds of lettuce that’s okay we don’t have to look um this watermelon let’s look what this is this is winter squash so that’s for growing in the winter time what is this this is a that’s another winter another winter squash so that’s going to be
Closer to winter when we grow those some more lettuce oh tomato some tomato but we have one favorite kind of tomato what’s our favorite kind of tomato Cherry the yellow sun uh the yellow sun gold sugar cherry tomatoes um those ones I decided this year all of my tomato plants are going
To be our favorite kind of tomato because that way if some of our tomato plants die we still have our favorite kind of tomato right so I decided this year I’m probably not going to grow other kinds of tomato I’m just going to grow a lot of our favorite kind of
Tomato because we like just plucking them off and eating them and you eat them yellow they don’t turn to Red so you eat them right away uh how about green beans so these ones are pole beans I really am more enjoying growing green beans in the stackable Dollar Tree
Containers because you can grow a lot more of them they don’t you don’t get as much so I like the bush beans more than the pole beans because you get a lot more green beans in my opinion from my experience all right at least that’s what happens with sugar sugar snap peas
Do we love sugar snap peas yes love love love them we’ve just got a lot of sugar snap peas because we’re going to grow a bunch of them o pretty here’s a pretty flower we’ve never grown before I got the reason we H we got these seeds for free some some companies
When you order from them some seeds they’ll send you some free seeds along with it so the bunnies are cuddling in so cute Esther um Garden Bean if you don’t sit on your foot we’ll be able to see you CU I’m showing both the bunnies and the
Bunnies are cuddling so cute there we go all right oh it’s you were up on your kind of trying to be able to see up there so yeah so there’s some more green beans do you like green beans basil M more basil this is helping me see what
All I have so that when I’m at Dollar Tree and I’m like should I buy more seeds like that I’ll be like no I have too much of that you know or whatever watermelon last year I tried gr watermelon it didn’t grow well so
Because it was in the sun it was in the shade I need to grow the watermelon in the Sun not in the shade um so I’m going to try again try again this year in a different spot cantaloupe I grew I tried growing cantaloupe in the shade did not do well
Cantaloupe needs to be in the Sun so I’m gonna I’m gonna try that again we’ve got Garden Bean yellow these are yellow beans on the outside they’re actually black beans on the inside broccoli is a cold weather plant you’ve got to grow it where I live you’ve got
To grow it in Spring and in Fall doesn’t do that well in my state unfortunately okay how about those giant sunflowers do you love growing giant sunflowers oh my goodness I love sunflowers so much but I grew them in containers last year I’m not going to do
That this time I’m going to have them in the race beds B pepper yep different colors of bell peppers do we love our colored bell peppers yeah but I like growing them in containers they did better in containers than in raised beds so I’m finding out each year you know where things grow
Better okay so this is Swiss chart I’ve never grown Swiss chart before this is going to be another shade plant that I could grow it’s kind of like lettuce sort of I think we’re growing squash squash probably not the squash that we’re going to grow is Pumpkins this
Year melon kajari melon we might grow kajari melon we’ll see I’ve grown it before it was yummy red cherry large so we’ve got different kinds of tomatoes but we’re going to grow our favorite tomatoes with is the yellow sun gold oh radishes okay so I grow
Radishes in with um some of the like if I grow squash or whatever I will put some radishes in there to help deter uh the pest you need to go marold marold oh my goodness Mar Golds are very very good around your tomato plants to help keep the pests away and attract the
Pollinators n I’m trying to get you on the screen and get the cute bunnies on the screen spinach okay so I’ve not successfully ever grown spinach but I’m going to try brussel sprouts brussels sprouts I’ve never grown brussels sprouts but I want to try this year does that sound good we’ll try it
Peppermint peppermint okay so min has to be in a container and be careful keep it away from your garden beds because it will spread like a weed all over the place but I want to try growing peppermint this year um because it you can make teas you can um just like
Harvest it and eat it that does not look like squash there’s different kinds of squash yeah those are some huge squash I might grow one of those I don’t know we’ll see what is this oh here are a bunch of different kinds of Little Seeds like arugula and brussel sprouts and
Rudaba and asparagus yum yum kale we are definitely going to grow carrots we love growing carrots don’t we yeah yummy more marold carrots and molds I like filling in in my raised beds wherever there’s extra space I don’t know red spinach wait what red stem spinach this
I can grow on my trellis I tried growing it last year it didn’t go well we’re going to try again different kinds of flower seeds which is a maybe I tried growing peanuts last year it wasn’t very successful I don’t think I’m going to do that again the
Squirrels the squirrels kept wanting to eat them and I did it in containers maybe if I did it in the ground it would do better I don’t know so these are free markers that I got for marking for marking what you’ve what you’ve planted all right let’s start putting these some

Um we weren’t that successful with corn last year but we’re going to give it another try oh my we still have more sorry I got to put more things back um okay blackberries so our blackberry plants are going to continue to grow and establish themselves I want to add some
Golden raspberries this year I want to add more strawberry plants this year I want to add more blueberry plants you never heard of I just want our backyard to be a big fun place where we can go and harvest and nibble and snack in our backyard healthy fruits and veggies does
