I have never grafted of de-grafted anything so I need all the advice I can get as this seems to be dying. Where should I cut? I’ve seen videos of people cutting out quite a big hole where the stock was, is this necessary?

I would Cut It right below the brownish Part and leave it in a dry place and Hope that there wont be any fungus

Underwatered. It looks dehydrated AF. Pere loves water, it’s honestly pretty hard to rot. I purposely push my pere to test its limits. 50-low 60s soaking wet for a week strait will rot it. But 68-70+ I water mine every couple days. I wouldn’t degraft just yet. Set that pot in a bowl of water.
