  2. I was out in my garden today, cleaning up making plans on what to plant and where. Pulled carrots, beets and turnips to share with the neighbor.

  3. Hi Kim. I ran out of jelly Saturday, so Sunday I made a batch of pineapple preserves. This morning, I was busy getting four raised beds ready for planting. Tomorrow is seed planting day for me, Malaga Radish, Giant Radish of Sicily, Mammoth Snow Peas, Arrow Peas, Kohlrabi, Golden Beetroot, Danvers carrots, Imperator carrots, peppermint, and assorted lettuces. I am working on filling my new raised beds, and dug into a fire ant mound,. I'll have to wait a day or two for the poison to kill the nest before resuming. All of my tomato seedlings have been potted up, about 150. I have about the same amount of pepper seedlings to repot. I'll work on that Wednesday. In a week, I'll do seed starts for cucumbers and squash. I just changed the seat from the stock seat to a wider more comfortable seat on my ebike. The forecast for Wednesday is clear skies, and temperatures into the upper 60s. I'll have to set aside time for a ride out in the country. I typically ride between 20-30 miles.

  4. I had bought a few pieces of that polycarbonate like you have. I had layed them in the yard for a couple hours before starting my project and the grass underneath was totally brown and dead. I use them now to kill off any weeds in my beds before planting lol works for me

  5. I have most of the vegetables that you mentioned in this video,we don’t have frost anymore but half of them were damaged we had a crazy thunderstorm with hail a few hours ago,and we didn’t expect it 🥺

  6. Wow I'm in the same zone but never put seeds down in Feb. I will give it a try since it looks like you're having luck. I do have spinach under a mini poly tunnel that I've been harvesting off and on all winter. I'm in NW burbs of Philly so not far from you. I'll probably try putting some lettuce, arugula, radishes and turnips next week. Broccoli rab will probably work now too.

  7. Last couple weeks, I've been so busy planting my pepper seeds and getting them germinated and sprouting, then this weekend I planted my tomato seeds along with some mild peppers. Today I planted some radish seeds was going to plant some potatoes but they haven't sprouted yet, so I moved away from that. I'm glad I watched this video because it reminded me that I need to plant some Bok Choi again this year and today would have been a perfect day to do that. Last year I grew some of the prettiest bouquets of Bok Choi that I've ever seen and they tasted amazing so my wife wants me to plant more this year.

  8. Do you think you can start this early in zone 6b such as southern Ontario? I have my doubts since we can get potentially -10F weather well into March, but am curious. Thanks!

  9. Hi Gary. You get snow but how cold does it get. I can’t even get a spade pushed into my raised beds dirt. Frozen solid. You are so lucky. And the material you use, does it warm up on the inside more so tha the frost cover. I was going to order some on Amazon. 1.05oz/yd2🤷‍♀️

  10. Gary do you know how much a polyethylene greenhouse warms up on the inside? Trying to decide which material( polycarbonate, polyethylene or frost cover will keep the vegetables warmer during the cold months up here. Thank you🙏
