Hi everyone Jaclyn here creating my garden and today I want to share with you where the path is going and what I’m going to be planting over there for vegetables and fruit so let’s walk it so this path is going to go to the shed and
It’s probably going to go to the back gate as well so we’re just going to walk it so I am envisioning here that we’re going to have a 3 to 4T probably four cuz I like things wide path and it’s going to come right around here so we’re
Going to come right through by The Evergreens here it’s going to allow an opportunity to set a path over here to The Cottage Garden area I’m going to give that a different name cuz kind of the whole yard is Cottage Garden and then it’s going to go through here on an angle
Past the Gazebo to the shed and it’s hard to tell because everything’s so white that’s one thing about having to shed with some color at least you got some color in the yard at this time of year and I’m I’m going to replace the concrete blocks that are in
Here cuz there’s a couple that are red in here so I want to change those out make them really nice I want to run a path now right through to this gate and I have all this area right here to develop so this to me is going to be my
Vine crops right in here now you can see my footprints that’ll allow you to see where the path is going going along there and turning to the back step which is perfect cuz we walk this all the time to get equipment from the shed so we might as well incorporate a path in
There on both sides of the path here and here there’ll be a 3ft bed running all the way along it’ll narrow as it gets closer to the house to the steps and I’m going to put all the flowers in here and then just going to walk a bit here the
Snow is actually pretty deep even though we haven’t gotten that much this year but just the same it can get a little bit every day so in here will be my Vines now I have a really good variety of vines that I’m going to put in here and there’ll be
Flowers too cuz I want it be pretty by that gate as well so let’s go through what I’ve got here so first on list honeydew melon this is the green flush this is an heirloom variety non GMO I’m pretty excited about this one and this one will need to be
Started probably I’m thinking four to five weeks before last frost yep I’m right so there’s a few seeds in here so I’m thinking I’m going to do this in rows is probably the easiest next on the list is cantaloupe and this is another heirloom variety and these were really a
Good buy now I do do McKenzie seeds I do McKenzie I do West Coast I do Johnny’s and I do a lot of vessis those are my go-tos I was going to do Burpee but I wasn’t able to set an set up an account with them online because of being in
Canada so that was a problem cuz it have some really nice stuff there so you guys that are in the US or other areas check out burpees receipts they has some really cool colored um Merry Golds and a few things there that I was after but anyhow this cantaloupe
Seed is supposed to be started indoors four to 5 weeks before last frost I don’t think I’ll do that I think I’m just going to started out in the yard I tried starting a few things inside and they didn’t do well I found they were they they were harder and
Stronger when I started them out and quite honestly I’m not going to have the room next one is going to be watermelon sugar baby now this is really popular one you hear a lot of people talk about maturity is 80 days and um once again it’s probably going to say I should
Start it inside it doesn’t that’s even better 7 to 14 days to germinate after all danger of Frost so I think this will be great so if I put Rose here and I put all the watermelon together Pou the Honeydew and some of the other things I have in my
Pocket I’m just pulling them out of my pocket cuz my hand is busy filming I’m going to run watermelon petite yellow I’m kind of looking forward to this one cuz it’s got the yellow core and I think it’ll be cool I love growing watermelons
As a kid I used to grow my mom would collect the seeds out of the Watermelons I grow them I get these little we watermelons but they were so red and juicy inside just from Reg watermelon you buy in the grocery store um I’ve really been fond of that and it’s stayed
With me here’s another variety of the sugar baby this is from Mr father gills and they have good products too and I like them and this is the early sweet ice box type and harvest in 10 weeks so that would be the same as the sugar baby
So I’ll put them together cuz I have quite a few and you don’t get a lot of seeds in those packages then I’m going to plant a bunch of pumpkins and this this is Howen pumpkin um there’s three G germination rates 90% so there’s only 15 seeds in
Here so not a lot but you can get a lot off the vines and it’s recommending that we start this 3 weeks indoors so that’s that’s fine now I did order some other pumpkin seeds they haven’t arrived yet so I’m not going to share that with you right
Now but I will later this is pumpkin and mini Harvest I like these cuz they’re a mixture they’re small ones so they’re perfect for decorating and we do have some white pumpkins in there and some variegated pumpkins in there days to maturity is 90 on these and once again you can sew them
Inside or outside but it says sew directly outside so I guess outside I have started these indoors before and like I said it’s not worth it it it doesn’t produce a good strong plant and here’s my favorite is Casper and uh these are going to be gorgeous
White pumpkins are really white and blue pumpkins super popular right now and this is recommended 3 or 4 weeks before last frost that might be the last one in my Pro pocket I can’t really look to see and I also can’t seem to talk today yep
That’s it so that’s what I’m going to put in here plus the new pumpkin seeds I got coming um cuz I have a blue a blue variety of pumpkin that I’m going to be planting so that will be in this area here and so you can imagine all the
Vines in here there’s already water in here probably have to raise the sprinklers up there in the lawn cuz this is grass right now so a bit of work is going to be required but I think it’ll be pretty when it’s bordered here with all the flowers and bordered over there with
Flowers and then it’ll allow me to do some more design in here and less grass so that’s the key for this one I’m really excited to put a p happen I’ve always wanted one and I feel this area of the yard needs color I mean especially right now when everything’s
White I mean it’s really Frosty and foggy here on the roads and stuff but it’s calm so that is nice I think it’s about -4 C right now which is bommy for us but I’m not one of those Canadians that’s going to run around on my shorts
Out here and definitely not for video it’s just not going to happen I can promise you that but you can see how nice and white and fluffy everything is so that’s where I’m going with this video and that’s what I’m doing with this path cuz it really needs something
And I think when you see a line of flowers coming through here all sorts of anals probably some perennials will come in here and then if I develop this other area which is supposed to be the new Rose Garden in there Rose and perennials I see in there um because if anybody
Like my niece wants to have a wedding here or something not that I’m going to force her to or anything like that but I could have it decorate pretty that they could have their service in the Gazebo you know something like that or if anybody else or friend or somebody wants
To use it they could and I’d like to have that really nice space in the sitting area too there so that’s the plan for the yard that’s where I’m going with it I do want to start some stuff early however not too early cuz then you’re potting up all the time so it’s
The real I’m anxious to start things I want color and I want flower cuz it’s so white and gray here however you know you can create a lot of work for yourself too so now we’ll try to Pace ourselves and um more videos coming and it should
Be interesting and lots of color so thank you for watching everyone and I’ll see you in the next video don’t forget to give me a like And subscribe I have a lot of people that are watching the videos and I appreciate that but you’re not subscribing and I need those sub

I look forward to the addition of your vine crops and new flower beds. I see a sitting area with hosta plants and brunnera back in the corner under the trees. Spring hurry please!!!
The vine area will be interesting to watch as it grows. I love pumpkins and gourds in my garden and every year I say I'm not going to grow so many (haha). We finally got a nice layer of snow too for much needed moisture. Thanks for seed source info in this video.
Love your plans. There'll be so much color everwhere and additional winter interest. The evergreen trees are amazing.
Your plans sound pretty ambitious and should be gorgeous. I've never grown pumpkins or watermelons before. That pathway will give you a beautiful planting area. It's 4C here too. My daughter had some of her wedding pictures taken in our backyard. Come on spring! Bonny
I did some winter seed sowing two weeks ago. Never done before and it's given me a boost. I'll be doing some more next month and will try tomatoes and peppers 1st of May. Doing something new keeps me engaged in winter.
Sounds great, looking forward to the progress! 👏❄️🇨🇦
