Sometimes we start too many pepper, tomato, and even eggplant seeds in one cell. The roots of multiple plants tangle and at some point they have to be separated and potted up. This is how I do it.

I love how concise and straight forward your videos are. Not a lot of BS, just great gardening information on every subject you’ve covered.
Have you ever tried rinsing the starting mix off the roots, and if so did you get better results this way? I'm curious since I usually get a bucket of water next to where I'm potting up and rinse each plug until the seed starting mix rinses away, and then pot them up.
