We’re Harry and Nikki a couple of 24-year-olds who exchanged the bustling London lifestyle for The Quiet suffk Countryside basically because it was the cheapest way we could get on the housing market and because we’re true country bumpkins at heart anyway in March last year we bought this bad boy from an

Auction site for just £175,000 we moved 250 Mi away from home and we got cracking now this house wasn’t in the best Nick it didn’t even have a bathroom upstairs so we gave ourselves 6 months to renovate it fully and spoiler alert we’re hitting our 10th month now and boy

Have we learned a lot much more than what five campan conversions can teach you and now we’re here at the start of 20124 ready to finish this house up for good and start sharing our plans for what we’re doing after this in December we were installing carpets bed frames

And getting in skirting boards all indicators that we’re basically done with the Renault and to be fair to you we did even call it the finale but truth be told we are still not done and it would only feel right to finish off these last bits and to share them with

You people who have been suppor supporting us throughout our journey and who we now consider our good friends we’ve had some time over Christmas to reflect and to ask ourselves what we want from this next year and we’ve made some big decisions together as a couple

Which we want to share with you a little later on in this video but before we get into that juicy stuff I guess we got to show you a little bit of DIY so now we’re getting to the last bit of the run out where everything is really coming together and this is

Exactly what was happening in the living room we’ve got one very empty looking wall over here and we think it needs something bougie but practical to fill the space but before we get into that let’s take a recap and look at the evolution of this living room space so

Far funnily enough when we first bought the house the living room was used as a storage room and it ended up staying that way for a long time it was only until quite recently that we actually got started on renovating it this involved removing the pink wallpaper knocking out the fireplace to expose

That red brick tiling the Heth Plastering the walls creating a media wall installing a radiator installing coing and to be honest there’s so much more but we won’t bore you let’s crack on with this booie but practical mini Project okay so it looks like I’m on flat packing duty today can’t promise you I’m the best flat packer in the world but let’s make this wool look a little bit better and more homely Alexa continue playing Gayo You’re probably wondering what are you actually building well since our entrance way is pretty small and it doesn’t have a lot of square merage for throwing your shoes off when you get in the door we decided a shoe cabinet would be necessary we found this pretty inexpensive expensive one from Ikea and

Think it fits the space perfectly so Good I don’t know about you but I feel like this area is such a moment and we didn’t even realize before popping the mirror up but it really reflects the light from the front window so beautifully What A vibe whilst we’re decorating the living room we’ve decided

That this wall next to me here is a little bit blank and I bought these frames from poundland ages ago they’re 5 crit each and they’re quite big frames and I bought these canvases online they’re really cheap as well they like a pound or two each and I think

What this room needs is a little bit of funky color so I think we’re going to pop these up on this blank wall now so join us What’s also really nice about this point in the renovation is that when there are so many little snag jobs to do we really can just choose what we fancy that day and crack on with it here are a few painting touchups that we Needed So let’s talk about this little out building behind our house here from day dot we always knew that we wanted to use this space and not just for some Garden storage since our estate agent came around and kind of planted a seed in our head that this should be used for kind

Of a work from home office space to sit there and have this as your office base we’ve always gone with that idea and now we’re running with it in December you would have seen us order these beautiful cabinets on DIY kitchens using their online planner we borded it up Harry had

His first debut and Plastering and we painted and cladded the walls now this space is an empty shell let’s build Harry the best man cake you will ever have yeah baby oh mate when are you fit it do we’re going to fill it tomorrow [Applause] actually DIY kitens DIY kitchen right let’s reveal this cornflower blue I’m so excited that’s so nice that’s very summer office unit for [Applause] January Stuck we’re fully wedged get it out I’m going to need to get my side out and you’re just going to need to push your side in Okay now what I don’t know we are we going to cut it we’re going to have it too l 2 hours Later ooh lovely wow that look good perfect so you guys have been waiting long enough it is time to tell you the big news if you’ve been watching and following along with us this whole time it would only be fair to keep you guys in the loop of what we’re doing after

This renovation now we think we might have taken it a bit too far on Instagram by accident we kind of did a poll guessing what our big news is and a lot of you seem to think Nikki might pregnant like we got so many messages

Like I really hope it’s that you have a baby and it’s like no she’s not pregnant okay our big news is actually that this house is going to be on the market listed for sale hopefully in the first week of Feb and you’re probably wondering why are we going to do that we

Put so much Blood Sweat and Tears in this house why would we sell it as soon as we’re finished and I think that’s pretty much exactly why we want to sell it we love Blood Sweat and Tears we love doing DIY like that’s all we want to do

Next like I feel sad that we’re coming to the end cuz it’s like now what we literally live for it hard work I don’t know why it’s a bit of a problem if anyone has a number for a therapist last time now although when we bought this

Property we thought it was kind of going to be our forever home we’ve since realized and speaking to the estate agent that there is a lot of money to be made in property and we really enjoy it so it would be silly to kind of stop on

This first one basically we’re going to roll with it from here and see what happens we love it so what are we looking to do next well as you know we’re going to be doing a property but we don’t know exactly what that’s going to be and we’d love you guys to give

Some suggestions we’re going to be looking at some different projects too I’m thinking castles I’m thinking fortresses I’m thinking Mana house I’m thinking Chapel I’m thinking I’m thinking anything but if you have any suggestions of what you like to see us do then pee for them in the comments

Down below either way we promise we’re going to take you along with us on every viewing and that’s not too far away wait it said you just Round the Corner in spring so very exciting times but in the meantime we are not just dropping you don’t you worry we’re going to bring you

Along with the whole selling the house process we’re going to be telling you the costs we’re going to be telling you how much we’re going to sell the house for everything for us is an open book so you will be notified of everything that happens and ask any questions you think

We might not have answered in the comments Down Below guys cuz yeah we’ll tell you anything right I’m so glad that’s all out in the open and we can start bouncing ideas off of each other but anyway way should we get on with a little man cave we’ve got to do some DIY oh that looks really nice no I think that’s Nice What the I just seen you just attacked the wall sorry I don’t know what happened that’s and graceful Eh Now an absolute crazy stat you is that only 24.3% of you watching are actually subscribed it’s completely free to subscribe and if you’ve watched us up to this point we like to think you might be enjoying yourselves at least a little bit so please do join our amazing

Community and hit that subscribe button if you guys didn’t already catch on these units are from DIY kitchens they are the Norton cornflower blue and we think they are perfect for this little room which otherwise could have looked quite dark and dingy we didn’t realize until we went to DIY kitchen showroom

That you can actually use their kitchen unit as an office desk unit and honestly what a game changer this whole setup was under £400 crazy cheap but anyway what are your thoughts on this ous come office do you think it will help the house s would

You be more inclined to buy a house if it had a little add-on space like this let us know in the comments Below so you do know what our kitchen looks like cuz pretty much in every episode we show off this beauty but actually we’ve been keeping a dirty little secret just in this corner over Here the state of this pantry is absolutely repulsive and it definitely needs some sort of a fresh up some might say a makeover some might some might so let’s get on with that I’ve emptied the pantry now and it is looking a little bit better and I have decided since

Everything is out and the kitchen is an absolute mess why would I not start painting and actually doing the pantry makeover today we’ve promised you a pantry project for so long we have and it is time to smash this py budget with pretty much no budget so literally cuz

We’ve got so much leftover stuff like products and DIY stuff I’m going to try and do this pretty much on no budget so so wish me luck starting off with some painting woo no starting off actually with these shelves as you can see right there are already in place and I’m going

To try and reuse them because they’re workable they just look a bit gross and I have this leftover black spray paint which I’m going to spray all over them it will give a nice glossy kind of like vinyl look and hopefully that will be good enough to get reused so let’s Go Let’s get Painting okay so I painted the white walls white and now I’ve decided that I’m going to paint this wall behind me here blush pink cuz we’ve got a little bit left from doing that second bedroom and it’s nice to add a little bit of pop

Of color into the pantry I feel like I can get away with it in this room so let’s paint it Pink I’m doing it by ey good Crazy what’s funny is now I know we’re selling the house I’m pretty stingy with putting any more money into it especially since we’re 7K over our 30k budget at the beginning I had big plans for this little space I was going to add glass jars for dry Foods put up hooks

For a usable bags and even add more shelving but now it does feel like that’s a bit Overkill I’ve gone for a pretty basic freshen up so something that a viewer would look at and think oh that’s kind of useful storage and similarly thinking about what would sell

This house we’ve realized that even more effort needs to go into the curb appeal you’ve seen us tackle a lot in the outside area from laying our own patio out the back of the house to getting a new gravel driveway put in and although in the winter it’s pretty hard to make

Things look like they’re blooming and flourishing even just tidying things up will definitely help the curb appeal it’s time for a bit of garding it’s been left for too long we’re going to sort out all these weeds rebark it make this outside bit look a little little bit

Nicer and then a job for the future is to jet wash this patio not today’s problem though it’s too cold for that let’s do some gardening Woo you might remember us tackling this area in the early summer with our mates we replanted Two Roses which we found on the side of our house but unfortunately we’ve sort of Let It Go since so it definitely needs a spruce Up it I don’t know what I’m bring it in closer yeah I’m looking looking out for I will like You maybe someday when I’m grown Older I can see it all there from above looking back on it all maybe I can see what was Broken and whil we’re targeting up the garden we should probably tidy up all of the rubbish that we’ve accumulated in the back Garden I’m not sure if I actually want to show you guys how much there is yeah it’s a lot fair to say it’s got a little bit messy in this

Garden so it’s time to clean Out Going back to the all important sale price of what we’re going to be listing the stad boy for you are going to find out not next Sunday but the Sunday after when our next video is out so make sure you stick around for that if you guys

Did enjoy this video then make sure to like And subscribe and leave a comment M down below because we love nothing more than getting a cup of tea and chatting to you guys over our weekend and if you do have suggestions of what you think we should be doing next then please put

Them in the comments I would love to see what you guys think we love projects anyway have a great week see you later until you Sunday time bye Wo

  1. Looks amazing! To see it from the start to the end you’ve done a great job. Can’t wait to see what you’ll be tackling next 🥳

  2. Guys, first off I hope you had a lovely Christmas and happy new year, I’ve been eagerly awaiting this video for ages, happy to finally be able to sit down and watch it. Great content as always guys. Keep smashing it. 💜

  3. your videos end too quickly! I would love a 30-40 min video 😂😂😂😂 please buy a detached farmhouse building or a detached bungalow 😍

  4. What did Zainab need from you in order to create the virtual design images? Did you just send dimensions/photos, or did she visit site?

  5. Just a tip for selling, dont be tempted to fall for a sky high valuation! You want to get as many people viewing as possible…

List it significantly lower than anything else in the area, eg. 'offers over' your total investment. Anything on top is then your profit.

This place will sell itself once people come and see inside. An open day should create some competition. You can then take your pick from any sealed bids which come in.

Hopefully first time buyers, with no chain involved so you can move on quickly. You don't want to be waiting months on end for other people to try and sell their places first

Good luck and keep us updated 🤞🏻👍🏻

  6. Just came across this series today, so binge watching. Don't know if I'll get a reply to this genuine question; When you built the wall for the French doors, you built the outer skin first then the inner blockwork…did it need wall ties between the skins? Thanks.

  7. Happy new year guys, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching you do this renovation, it is now a beautiful home 🏡 I’m looking forward to watching your next project. Well done to you both xxx

  8. Love it! Also love the floor lamp next to your shoe storage. Where is it from please? Would be perfect for my spare room reno 😊

  9. Would love to see you come up to Norwich and renovate a classic Victorian terraced house. Most renos I see online are large houses or big properties, it would be really interesting to see what could be done in a smaller house. And given the amazing work you’ve done here I reckon it would be light work for you two!

  10. Yay great news that you're going to do another project!

I've got a few questions that I'd love answered in a video at some point or here!!

What do you plan to do with all your furniture?

What kind of mortgage do you think youll get for another project?
What kind of mortgage did you get for this project?

Having moved location to be able to do a house project and get on the ladder would you do that again? Or do you think youll be more picky with the next location for e.g. closer to friends/family or to where there is more going on

Do you think the fact that having the full renno public and available to a prospective buyer including costs will help or hinder a sale?

Will you guys take a holiday before starting the next one?

I would also love to see a video on your biggest takeaways from the project. Biggest challenges.. bits youre proudest of.. something to that effect.

Lol that's loads but I'm really curious haha!

  11. I think you should just upsize to a larger detached property. Don’t go too big yet. Work on fitting some luxury items and maybe look to get some more experience in gardens and outside space. After you have mastered those things you can move into a something “out there” e.g castle or estate or restoration of traditional farm house

  12. Can't wait to see you doing a new property! I'd advise to stay away from listed buildings as they'll be a nightmare for continuous content, you'll get stuck in planning queues and applications etc. Having to replace like for like, being very limited. Seeing you buy maybe a bungalow and turn it into a 2 storey would be cool, but then you won't be able to do much of it yourselves, that goes beyond "D.I.Y"…Perhaps buying someone's abandoned project house and finishing it?(Nightmare waiting to happen but great content)…Perhaps a property abroad? French property is PEANUTS(15-50k will buy you 3-4 beds in some places). Whatever you do – I'll be excited to watch along!

  13. Just a question – when you did the upstairs bathroom, did you have planning permissions/building control permission? Also, how did you get away with running the soil pipe along the outside of the house like that? I would've thought they'd make you get a macerator, or atleast have the soil pipe on a vertical drop into the sewer rather than diagonal.

  14. I would love to see an end of terrace/ semi-detached house as you could do a huge extension without planning permission

  15. Hello darlings! You've made such progress since the Xmas break. I love the pop of colour pictures in the living room and the new shoe cupboard. Looks great there. The outdoor office is a massive complement to the house complete with wifi, electricity and heating. And the pantry is perfect. Anyone will be so happy to have that extra kitchen storage. They can add the hooks and fancy jars when they move in! The garden is looking good now. Annoying how things keep growing and you have to keep on top of it! Give those roses a prune in a couple of weeks and you'll soon see new buds appearing. My favourite bits? 2:19 Nicky in the background obviously feeling chilly on that day! Looks like she's wearing everything she owns! And 8:46 "Chapels!!" And for your next project? The world is your oyster and you should do whatever takes your fancy. Lots of love ❤❤ xx MamaHorsley xx

  16. I don't mind where or what you buy, just don't disappear. This has been my favourite renovation in 2023. you're a very inspirational couple , Thank you for sharing your journey ❤💙

  17. Smashing some view's lately guys 🎉🎉 Your channels overtaking all other I watch soon 🎉🎉 Hurry up and get the house sold so we can see the next project ❤❤

  18. OK I have an idea as I am seeing so much on Pinterest etc…do a big container build…so you will just have to buy some land 😀❤x

  19. office space is great (or more storage for prospective buyers). Maybe a small window facing the garden?

  20. Happy new year guys, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching you do this renovation, it is now a beautiful home 🏡 I’m looking forward to watching your next project. Well done to you both xxx

  21. Hi Nicky and Harry, I knew you wouldn’t stop there🤣, your lovely house will sell straight away I would imagine. Look forward to the next project x

  22. Did you both consider refinancing rather than selling? You could rent out the house and use it for income whilst doing your next project
