Yellowstone Landscaping and Servus Group worked in
partnership to provide a ‘Backyard Blitz’ style garden
home makeover.
Backyard Blitz is part of our Community Connection
Program and is a way we can give back, make a
positive impact on a family’s life, and shine a light to
help raise awareness of things that don’t get publicly
brought to our attention. This year the Taylor family
were hosted and taken out for the day while many
volunteers came together on a Saturday to create their
new space.

We are excited this year to bring backyard Blitz to the tayor family dad Phil mom Kate and their three children cassia Lily and Yanni Phil travels for work quite regularly while managing his type 1 diabetes Kate recently graduated and has started her position as a grade five and six primary school teacher
Cassia Lily and Yanni have autism cassia and Yanni also have ADHD everything throughout the children’s daily lives activities needs to be pre-planned and organized well in advance great way to get a whole liap of people together a lot of them we don’t know family friends you staff suppliers
And we do some work for a family that probably can’t do it themselves make them feel better so it’s just a really good atmosphere it just goes really well just showing people how to give how to you know volunteer we’ve hosted the Family for the day and they’re out doing
Stuff and come back and that whole it’s just there’s something of magic about it that I just love doing every year we’re getting some really good momentum so staff and friends and family from Interstate come from Sydney and Adela so that’s been really really Good [Applause] [Applause] what we’re seeing too is families that have been involved in the past where they’ve been the recipient of a back up L they’re here now participating and giving back as well so it’s really good to see in the real [Applause] Turn I just think it’s a great way to give back to community you know we’re so blessed with what we do and what we have yeah and it’s just it feels so good to help a family that they’ll walk in and go a wow and gives them a real boost and
I just think it’s just nice that your staff our staff just come out with an open heart to help others and just to get to see how there is people in [Applause] Need [Applause] [Applause] Oh [Applause] Well thank you all so so very much um as you can see a family that has extra needs doesn’t have a lot of time for this kind of stuff and when Doug and phield came I said I don’t care what you do just please help and
You have and I thank you all so very much no way in my wildest dreams we could do you know a 1% of anything that’s been done here it’s incredible yeah um we weren’t expecting this but Sandra handed over a PlayStation 5 or gifted up to hand over
To the family and that was we weren’t expecting that so you know this family’s been really bled look very pretty PS5 Y where the criers promise I’m not crying because of that thank you everyone good job bud thank you you so much so Phil once again mate you’re people and resources make this day so thank you yeah but the landscapers make it look like we’ve actually achieved something so see teamwork
