  1. Damn, I was a few days late on keeping track of episodes but I thought a great name for the tavern would be the "Sjin and Tonic"

  2. I propose calling the river "Ygros tafos" it means Wet grave in Greek, which is what the Byzantines spoke. The name also refers to the drowned children of the colony.

  3. now the farms are more visually balancing out the population and such, nice. also tbh that is the thing about mods and finding a generic tree, lots of suspiciously similar looking ones in biomes more numerous yet rare

  4. Name the river Avon, it just means river in Celtic and the Romans had a bad habit of taking the native's words too literally when asking what something is called.

  5. Hey, any of you remember in which episode some funky music started playing out of nowhere because of an alarm thing or something?
    (Because monster nearby or some similar stuff I think)

  6. If there isn't a Japanese theme for Minecolonies, there needs to be, and Sjin needs to make it the next colony lol, for the sushi

  7. you can build building at any level you just need to select the arrows when choosing the builder or some where in that menu

  8. I know a certain old friend who might know a lot about oil… And have you gather it by, say, scooping it up with your f*cking hands…

  9. I hope you clean up the Agriculture area more. The lack of paths between the newer builds were irritating me a bit

    Minecolonies added Stew attempts in this version since stew is basically for Mooshroom cows… Also that's infinite food…
    U might wanna teach ur blacksmith, the Gold nugget recipe, and ur cook, the Golden Carrot recipe… It's a great food source…

    come and listen to my story about a man named Jed. A poor mountaineer,, barely kept his family fed, til one day when he was shooting at some food, and up from the ground came a bubblin' crude. oil that is

  13. Pretty sure you can toggle the visibility of the curious, so if you want the utility of the beer helmet, but not the visuals, go for it

  14. If you don't want to keep the oil, dump it into a Fluid Trash Can so you free up your Mekanism tanks for cleaning up more oil. Also, considering your river has killed several colonists already, calling it 'Styx' is a fitting option.

  15. Greek fire is said to be used by the byzantine. If you have flamethrowers in this modpack, that's where your oil can go

  16. Quick little tip about farm fields. If you want to save a bit of space and not have the little paths between each field, if you overlap them slightly, they will share a wall between them, and since they all have gates on each wall, your farmer can walk between fields with opening just one gate at a time instead of having to open two.

  17. was wondering if you could do a Minecolonies series with the Fortress style, I think it would be interesting to see how you would build it out.

  18. Just in case anyone didnt know. If youre into Ars Nouveau you can use the Evaporate spell on the oil if you dont want to keep it.

  19. Sjin. Do a worker reset. It will make everything so much faster. Go to the town hall and fire everyone and then reassign jobs based on the skills that all your colonists have. You have so many wasted dudes that have way high stats for jobs they not doing

  20. For the river maybe Jiber.. combining name of the river in Rome with your name.
    With the oil make sure to scoop it up before building next time. There is some weird mechanics with it that can cause it to bug out when blocks around it are mined. Sometimes you can't pick it up any more when there are no solid blocks below it.
    Btw you can use the waystones with leashed animals. So putting one in the pen and one near the animals you can easily get them in there.
    Also for cowhand think there are interdiction torches in the pack that prevent animals from walking past it, could place it in front of the entrance. Just need to make sure it does not also push the colonists away, but there is a config that can blacklist the colonists from its influence.

  21. Feeding is an option that takes a million wheat, as its used infinitly to grow babies to adults!
    So you might wanna turn that off~

  22. Having known MANY working, active blacksmiths (yeah my life is strange) the grass in the Blacksmith hut made sense. Sawdust and/or sand is the preferred flooring for smithies – think about where YOU would like hot sparks and tiny drops of molten metal to land.

  23. You should build a bridge between the upper levels of the two guard towers that sit opposite the river from each other!

  24. Seems to me your bee keepers hut needs to be flipped unless you wanted the door to be facing the water.
