While one parrot was on watch in the tree over my head, five black-hooded Nanday Conjure Parrots gobbled up sunflower seeds and petals from my stand of Lemon Queen Sunflowers. Legend goes, several decades ago, there was a fire in a Santa Monica pet store and some of these parrots escaped. Their numbers increased and they still live in the area and a flock of 30 or more are often seen and heard! They love sunflowers! http://www.latebloomershow.com/
