Ginger is very easy to grow in containers. The best time to plant ginger is in spring. Ginger likes warm and humid climate. If the temperature is too hot, move the ginger plant to partial shade. After 6 to 10 months, ginger will grow under the soil.

Regarding the Ginger Yield: The ginger shown in the beginning was not all used to grow just one plant. I broke the ginger apart (0:53) into pieces to start 4 plants (1:13). The ginger harvested at the end was started from a 2×1 inch piece and yielded 6×4 inch in ginger. It would have grown bigger if planted in-ground in right climate or in greenhouse.
You did not get much more than you planted
Well it looks like you planted more than you got🥺
My ginger literally grew insanely fast within 2 weeks after taking a couple month piece I was saving because it was growing lol. It’s only on my kitchen window which gets ok light but nothing great by any means
He planted more ginger then he harvested
my ginger keeps dying.. why? 😢
I feel like he put in a 4 inch block of ginger. And then he got a 5 inch block of ginger with a bunch of leaves.
So do you plant it flat or with the eyes up?
