Welcome to the University of Arizona Campus Arboretum Channel. Today, we’re highlighting an icon of the Sonoran Desert; the great saguaro cactus (Carnegiea gigantea). Come along with us as we learn about the growing conditions for and ecological importance of this amazing desert plant.
You can stand in the shadow of a giant saguaro at the Joseph Wood Krutch Historic Cactus Garden on the Edible Landscapes Tour.
