****** About Living Traditions Homestead ******
Living Traditions Homestead is all about living a simple and sustainable way of life. We believe the world has gotten too “busy” and that people are missing out on many of the true blessings this world has to offer. We started as a small urban homestead in Gilbert, AZ and after the city grew up around us, decided it was time leave corporate America and take a big leap of faith by moving our family to the Missouri Ozarks.
We put out 2 new videos every week! Tuesday and Saturday. We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we give up the rat race and live simpler, more fulfilling life in the country.

Love watching you guys. God bless!
I had to stop eating our chicken eggs when I saw the chickens pecking on the dog poop.
Do you have any help, or is it just you two?

Please kindly send me details information about the materials needed for the weeds control and how much is the deposit and cost involved including shipping costs and the direction showing me how to invest in my cottage reasch farm project
We have to wire in the chickens because raccoons will dig under to kill the chickens.
We love Beefsteak tomatoes. They are great for slicing for sandwiches, as they aren't so juicy to make your bread or buns so wet. Most others are best for sauces and canning. Love you guys.
This year I used weed fabric like you did and have had great results. As one who dreads weeding, this was fantastic. I even used it for beets and carrots, they are terrific. Enjoy your garden…I do.
What do you feed your onions .? Thanks jim80

Yeah she looks like you have more roosters then you do
Guessing is always good???? Thanks
First let me say, I love your show… It is so much fun and very informative… Now, I do know a little bit about potatoes and maybe this one tip that really helped me will help you guys… If you plant whole potatoes with a lot of eyes… you're going to get a lot of small potatoes in a small area… But if you plant pieces of potato with two to three eyes per piece and space them about 8 inches apart, you will have a more even distribution of potatoes and they will be larger potatoes… That is the golden rule of potato growing…. The old timers taught me that and it has held true in my garden experience…
I didn’t know you could use the fabric on potatoes. Did they produce well?
If you till, you will have weeds, lots of weeds. Every time you aerate and disturb the soil it activates weed seeds that would have stayed dormant otherwise. Weed seeds below 2 inches don't germinate because they don't possess the energy to reach the surface. Your experience with cardboard keeping you fairly weed-free for a year-and-a-half demonstrated that. If you till the soil you're back to ground zero. When weeds do appear in no-till – which is inevitable with airborne seeds and so forth – hoe them off at the surface. Leave the roots rather than pulling them up in activating more weed seeds. You'll never get every every piece of the root anyway. It may take a couple of times hoeing off weeds but without photosynthesis the roots give up and die and contribute to the organic matter in the soil. I know how busy you are but doing this will give you back so much time it's crazy.
My daughter and I do everything it takes to build and maintain a smallholding and have realized after 12 years there are just some heavy jobs woman should not do. It causes burnout faster than is necessary
Woman are not built for heavy hauling
Even tho she can do it Kevin, watch how Sarah walks, it's not right. I have strong arms but still have cellulite after all this hard work you have muscle developing. Think this means there are some jobs not good for women. Love you channel. ❤
Is there a tutorial on how to build that rabbit tractor at the beginning?
Good
Great news you both look wonderful and healthy. It's always nice to have support from family and friends. Thank you for sharing. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
