Luffa's grow great here but I never tried eating them. They are so prolific I don't need anymore but they are also beautiful plants so I may try to grow them again and try eating them!
Oh Kathy, I wish we lived in closer proximity so I could help you with your hair! My hair is similar to yours and my best friend has similar hair as well. We are both hairdressers and were having trouble cutting each others hair for the same reason you are hesitant. I promise I only cut whatever she said and visa versa but it always seemed to be more than what we planned. What we finally figured out was that when our hair is wet, it stretches more than average. Once we figured that out, it made us both happier. Instead of an inch, we would go with 2/8th of an inch- just kidding- 1/4th. I bet your hair is stretchy too, besides being fine. A couple of tips to gain length, hopefully find someone to listen to you and really only trim 1/4 of an inch and do that once per quarter. Then think about wear. You don't see the heel of your shoe wearing down in a specific place because it's gradual.Your hair is the same. One of my clients kept getting a thin spot on the right side in the back. It took a long time to figure that out too until I had her show me how she blow dried her hair. She swung it to the right and used the round brush over and over in that spot. In the car or high backed chair, swing you hair forward over your shoulder so you aren't rubbing the ends off. Think about repetitive things you might do to cause wear. My daughter puts her waist length hair into a twisted bun on top of her head and secures it loosely with a satin scrunchie and uses a satin pillowcase for sleeping. Now about the luffa- I live near Dallas but grew up in Colorado, where zucchini will grow like crazy. Not in Dallas. Luffa looove it here. I didn't realize how big the vine would grow or how quickly they matured, this was my first year growing them and I just let them all grow for sponges, so thanks for the tips. You never ever sound condescending, I always appreciate the tips and tricks you show. I've always thought that if I did videos, they would be to show my children all of the things and whoever else came across them, they would find them helpful too. I appreciate you so much, thank you for sharing. One more interesting thing that I've mentioned to you before- Your channel wasn't coming up easily when I typed it in the search bar, until I accidentally took out the space between Vegan and Prepper, that's when I noticed how you have your channel name typed. I think it's strange that it doesn't pop up just because of a space. Thanks again!
So sorry for all your losses
