Just a guess.. Peruvian apple cactus.

I’m new to this hobbie, so I’m learning as I go 😅

As far as grafting quality… I have no clue 😂

  2. I just grafted to some of this today for the first time! It is peruvian apple cactus, from what I’ve read it’s not the best but also definitely not the worst. It’s big so should push decent growth assuming you put something small on it. Try it out!!

It is in fact Peruvian apple cactus (Cereus repandus)

I haven’t used it myself but I would guess it as slightly worse than like Trichocereus, so still very strong in terms of growth. My concern if I was working with this would be my success rate with grafts on it. Read the docs though, maybe it’s actually pretty straight forward ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

That all said if you have access to this I think it should be useful graft stock

From what I’ve seen Peruvian Apple is decent stock cuz it’s cheap, compatible with lots of different cacti as the scion, and tolerates cool temps a bit better than some other common ones like tricho and myrtillo. Compared to Pach, Peruvian, and spach it’s said to pump a bit slower, but provides normal non deformed looking scion growth. Overall seems pretty good from what I’ve gathered off a few blogs and by googling. I don’t have any personal experience so can’t provide anything beyond that.
