I wish you all the best in your future adventure โค
Please don't give up the page. I have only just found you and can relate to you also much.
I am being rather selfish, I know, but it's always the same when you find a brilliant place to share and get support, all of a sudden it disappears๐
We just downsized, 2&2 bungalow, 2 raised beds and a compost bin, new gardener, my Lidl garlic popped up, organic garlic still sleeping ๐
I'm extremely happy for you! I have gone before you and now in my 100% container garden at the age of 73 after many years of in ground gardening. Many of my containers are stock tank size and some are rectangular wooden ones tiered on concrete blocks to reduce back bending and utilize smaller space and sun/shade requirements and everything in between. It gives you freedom to place tubs of flowers for pollinators just where you need them the most. As you know easier to control disease and bad bugs. Easier fall clean up is the final reward..it's a gift of More time to truly enjoy the constant rewards of growing our own food. It also gives us more time to create and plan which is in the heart of every gardener. I'm looking forward to watching and supporting this exciting journey with you both as always. ๐๐๐บ๐ธ
Good luck with your new venture, hope you get an allotment quicker than us. It took 9yrs
Stay put and get an apprentice ๐คฃ. Your welcome in Leeds buddy. Got your work cut out in the near future. Hope you find your perfect forever home and looking forward to seeing your ideas and plans come to fruition ๐บ
Back when I still lived in the UK and had an allotment it was very helpful. We shares seeds, cuttings, etc. If I had too many courgettes, someone would share something they had too much of like raspberries. Be aware that sometimes there are issues with personalities on an allotment, but for the most part they're really great for growing to eat!
I'm going to miss that place but I'm sure the next place will be awesome.
Even my single 3x1m raised bed is plenty when added to all the other property and garden maintenance, I don't blame you! I agree about sweetcorn!
Best wishes for the future Ivan. I was just relieved that you're not stopping the videos. Sounds like exciting stuff!
Thanks for the update Ivan. (You can come and live next door to me). As you know I do a lot of container gardening, so I'll be following you on your new adventure. Wishing you all the very best for the future. Thanks for sharing.
Best thing we ever did was downsizing. Still got a decent sized garden but it's very manageable. I'm sure you'll find the same thing and it certainly takes the pressure off too .
Hope it all works out Ivan, regards, Paul
Exciting times. Can't wait to follow your new chapter and i'm looking forward to seeing some tips for us with small gardens.
๐ it is a full time job, I am 72 and still gardening also,, sometimes I think I should give up, then I think what else would I do.
well that will be fun for you good luck !
Hi Ivan, I'm trying to play catch up, missed a month or two because of a wee health emergency. My garden is a mess right now so need to get back on it. Your right, it can be a lot of work having a big area. Can't wait to see where you land next!
Ivan we downsized for similar reasons though not a gardener of your standard it frees one up to do other things and still grow a bit Definitely a good long term idea as you can in the UK have an allotment. Iโll look toward watching next year. All best wishes.
Keep doing the videos lad im crap at gardening but watching you over the year has helped make me a little better
Ivan ,if you have any idea has to where you are looking to go ,get onto a waiting list for an alloment ,I had to wait 3 years for mine
Best of luck Ivan . Looking forward to whatโs coming in 2024.๐
Gran invernadero
I downsized when I moved two years ago and am doing more container gardening. More manageable and growing what gives me a big reward.
This is so exciting! I can only do container gardening really (veggies) due to flowers and other plants dominating my garden, which I thoroughly enjoy. I can't wait to watch you on your new adventure. A huge good luck. Roll on next year! ๐
๐ Good morning Ivan
I planted some sweet pea seeds and they are growing so quickly, is this a good thing?
I am moving next year myself due to owner selling up which sucks, having to move all the plants will be stressful but starting from scratch is always fun.
Thanks Iven, for your update video. Wishing you well in the next phase of life, in your new location, whenever it happens. In the meantime, keep healthy and take care of yourself. ๐ Looking forward to seeing more of your videos, whenever you have time to publish them on here.
Thanks Ivan for this update and letting us know about your up coming move which will be very interesting to watch. Good luck and all the very best for the future. Stevie
Good luck Ivan!! You are such an inspiration to us small garden growers.
Hi Ivan. All the best with your move. I will miss the church bells in the background in your footage. I used to have some where I lived and now that I moved away, I miss them. Elaine ๐ฑ ๐ฑ
