What are these brown patches?


What’s are these annoying brown patches?

I can’t work it out. Not sure what to try.

This is Blue Couch grass after renovation 2 months ago. Scarified and de-thatched, followed with 60/40 kid from ANL, and Shelley’s #17 Lawn Food.

    Have you had a hard frost or a freeze yet? That’s what I’m thinking.

    Does Australia get grubs or armyworms? I’d guess bugs or fungus, but know nothing about grasses on that side of the world.

    Army worms. Get onto that asap because they are eating every grass root as we speak and you’ll be left with a dust bowl. Pour some soapy water on a patch and see if you get some fat worms crawl out in the next 5 minutes. If so, spray some Acelepryn and they’ll die but your lawn will take about 8 weeks to come back.
