👍👍🇺🇸Brrrrr. I won't complain about our 22 degrees!
My cuts and come again gave up to the freeze, just transplanted winter peas to raised beds 🙏
Can I sow some carrots now in containers? I don’t have a greenhouse
Hi Ivan I've got mine protected put most of my plants in cardboard boxes other pots wrapped in fleece or bubble wrap I think I will follow your advice and give them extra cover and throw some fleece over them as the weather forecast for Scotland is not good it's cold at the moment with frost at night or early morning.Im nice and snug at nights so why not help me little plants ,roll on summer hope we get one next year bye.
A lot of my plants esp shrubs and bushes were burnt black with that bad storm a few weeks ago. Never seen anything like it, was like a nuclear fall out😢
I've been our covering plants this afternoon. It's going down to 26 here tonight and back up to 31 tomorrow night, Then we will be back above freezing for a while. I'm a cheap scape. I use old sheets, table clothes, ripped comforters. They've worked well in temps down in the teens. Fleece just rips to easy.
Same here Ivan, frost last two days, roll on spring lol, I've protected my carotts as they're still growing, cheers Ivan..
I remember, must have been 15 years back, I sowed some cucumber (indoors). Got them about 6 inches high and decided to pop them outside to harden up during the day.
Forgot about them till the evening, went outside…
Eaten down to the ground.
Each and every one of them.
To the ground.
Ah well….
🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬Slugs.
🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 Strawberries!!.
I ran out of frost cloth so I used decorators cloth instead. It seems to have kept my plants safe. " frists, the one on Friday night was quite sharp but the one last night, (Saturday) was less so. I don't think we are due ny more frosts this week, thank goodness! Happy gardening 😃
