  1. Isn't a fertiliser, please search the definition of fertiliser. It is a soil conditioner.

  2. I have a sour orange tree and found various ways to use the fruit. My favorite after juicing for me, method is to soak the peels covered in water with a 1/2 cup sugar mixed in. Stir everyday until it is vinegar in about two weeks. Strain and use for window cleaner, counter top cleaner, BUT my FAVORITE way is to pour some over the nasty red and bull ants that build a home in my yard. It is ACID so it destroys their lovely little homes wonderfully.

  3. An old gardeners tip. Plant marigolds and targetes( sounds like Tageeties) when you speak it) around your tomatoes. The scent from these flowers attracts pollinators, but stops the insects that destroy the plants. I'm learning that everything serves some purpose. The ants are usually cleaning up some food etc. You are a great gardener.

  4. This is great info I'm definitely going to try it. Also how can you be sure that your getting healthy mulch/compost from chip drop…I've heard some horror stories

  5. So… I went and took this idea to the next level. Though, not sure how its going to turn out. I used a Vitamix and liquified one orange peel and a lemon peel. I was obviously was to much pulp so I put some 1/4 cup of pulp with a 700 milliliters of water. This was before I watched your video. I sprayed all my plants. Could I burn them? I did this in the evening. Will my plants survive?

  6. Citrus also repels cats. I had to do this because my neighbor just lets them breed and I have a wolf dog so I didn't want him killing them. Started doing this system and it worked. They no longer cross my fence. Not sure if this works for rabbits, but I thought I would share. BTW love your channel.

  7. Orange peel will only repel a Small Few different insects…it will also ATTRACT peskys that arent mentioned

  8. Thak you for the great video! I do the same without boiling the peels, but fermenting them just in water for several weeks. I just put the peels in a bucket with plain water, cover the bucket with a lid to push all peels under the water (otherwise they mold) and let them sit there for at least 3 weeks, better more. Then the mixture is ready.

  9. I toss citrus peels from oranges, limes, grapefruit……. under the trees. They work with the leaves as a mulch. Then they eventually break down and feed the soil.

  10. Very interesting. Will this help strawberries whose leaves are starting to turn brown and yellow?

  11. Except I don’t think it’s going to hurt good OR BAD BUGS… I haven’t looked into it but I’m pretty sure it just deters them because they don’t like the smell

  12. Do you have any thoughts on using Neem oil? I’m getting holes in my new green & banana peppers. Would the Orange peel pesticide help? Can the Orange peeks left from the pesticide recipe do well in the compost container instead of spreading around the garden beds? I’m concerned about fruit rats. Appreciate all the wonderful and encouraging info you share. I’m learning a lot from you, little by little but you boast my confidence. Thanks.
