I started growing plants at 12 years old too, but they were not legal, if you catch my drift. Somehow that dovetailed into growing legal plants, and i've been hooked ever since. I was called the "plant boy" at my local high school from how much I absolutely adore plants. Anyhow, Well done young chap, well done.
Well, that was emotional ❤ Your dad must be very proud of the wonderful young man you have become (and glad to get his garden back 🤣). Cant wait to see your new adventure, good luck to both you and your dad 🙂 xxx
Super weepy here! I loved all your videos and learnt so much from you – many thanks to you and your garden for helping us build our own. Seems like an end of an era. Having trouble processing that we won’t see videos of Huw & this garden. Your father was incredible to give you a piece of himself in this garden – and look forward to seeing what he does with it. ❤
What a remarkable person you are, Huw Richard's. How much better the world would be if people had even a bit of your character. Thanks to your Dad for shaping you and gifting us with such a treasure.
Ahh….Huw… one compost lid closes and a new greenhouse door opens! Congratulations on all your achievements thus far and all the best for your "growing" journey. I also loved watching The Goodlife, it may have been where my first "Organic Bent" seed was first germinated! Cheers from Melbourne Au.
My heart skipped a beat when I saw goodbye.! i feel better now, knowing that it`s not the end of your videos altogether. All the best in your new adventures in gardening !
Beautiful tribute to a hugely formative part of your life, and ours. As much as your Dad gets his garden back, I think he will miss having you there. Roots and wings, right? You built roots in this garden, and now you're spreading your wings. In some way, that's why your parents chose the John Seymour/Tom and Barbara lifestyle – so that just this would happen.
Huw I began watching you early on in your journey, I believe we are the same age. I watched this video with my toddler on my lap and I told her, "this is Huw, he's handsome and very talented. He also has a great accent and beautiful garden!" She loved it. We are in Florida, USA so very different climate but very big fans. This made me so emotional! Change can be hard but I'm so grateful for all you've taught us and look forward to your next chapter.
Thank you Huw. Ive been watching your videos for about 2 years and they have inspired me to get out in my yard and I have been able to build 6 raised beds and 4 compost bins from recycled materials. Your knowledge and principles are the building blocks that have pushed my garden to great results.
Every end is a new beginning. For that reason, I say congratulations! It's always difficult to end a chapter in a book, but it's the cost of progress. Our experiences and memories make us who we are. Even if you're not in that garden anymore, it will forever be the foundation of the person you continue to become.
Huw, omgosh, you gave me a cry and a scare! 😂💖 Your garden has been a part of many of our lives, so saying goodbye in such a meaningful way was wonderful to see. And I am SO GLAD this is just the end of a chapter and the beginning of a new one, as if you were to fully end this channel… good grief. Welp, I'm just truly thankful that's not the case. Looking forward to see what you have in store for us in the future!

This is the most beautiful garden I've ever seen. I especially admire the aerial views.
