  1. Here on the east coast, mid-Atlantic, we have had lows in the 20's at night, and chilly days, then it goes to 40's at night and 60 to 70 during the day….crazy weather. My ginko tree this year didn't all turn yellow and then drop its leaves. I think its the drought. I still have geraniums blooming on back porch. But we are very dry! We need rain desperately, hoping for some soon. Have you recently planted your larkspur, been waiting to scatter seeds….is now the time? I will be out there tomorrow. And I got my garden journal in the mail today….WOOT WOOT!

  2. Hi Linda , welcome home safety from Indiana my home !! your gardens looks super great ! Your gardens are my goals, I can dream ! Paula

  3. Welcome home good to see you, everything looks great. FYI/ My per-order of your journal book hasn’t arrived today 11/14/23, as of 5:20pm CA time. See you tomorrow for your sister home tour. ❤

  4. So glad you brought up the concrete pots! I live in New England ( zone 5) and I too can't bring mine in because they're too heavy… My question of the day is… should I cover them? Is it better to leave soil in them or empty them? What's the best way to deal with them in hopes they won't crack? Thanks so much!

  5. I love it when Stewart laughs 😊
Garden living should be fun. On Thanksgiving, at least once, I’ll think of you, Linda, and wonder if you were outside or inside, lol.

  6. There was no frost while you were away. We only had frost for a few nights a few weeks back but not enough to affect the boxwoods. Your boxwood on the slope looks more like chronic underwatering. The water would pretty much run away on that slope and not penetrate unless you left the hose on low for an hour. (By the way, I love your back yard!)

  7. I love the shirt and want one too! So please tell me where I may purchase one for myself. Lol!
The azalea topiaries look wonderful! As soon as you put the link where we can get them, I’m ordering two to flank each side of the entrance to my porch. You always have great ideas and I always learn from you! You’re simply the best Linda! 💚💚💚💚💚

  8. You are the best, beautiful, intelligent, funny and compassionate…a pleasure to watch your videos🥰

  9. The two sides to the sidewalk down below are off a bit. The left arc isn't the same as the right. Just sayin…..What will you do with all those pumpkins?

  10. In Niagara we have had quite a few nights of frost. My mulberry tree still has its leaves. 😊😊 Recieved my Garden Journal today. Can't wait to start using it ❤

  11. Even in Yukon Canada our temps are warmer than normal. We’re right next to Alaska. We have a wisp of snow but not a lot, and only got that last week.

  12. Stewart's giggle is charming. Anybody who thinks otherwise is a fuddy duddy 🫠. On another note, I received my garden journal today! It took quite a bit of discipline on my part to give the box to my husband to gift me for Christmas. I didn't even peek! (He assured me later that the box contains the journal.)

  13. I bought 4 of those bargain boxwoods in the Spring and one died, but the other three are thriving. I think mine also didn’t get enough to drink…..

  14. Yes it's been a weird combo of warmer days and cool nights. I bought 2 bowling ball arborvitae and put Christmas lights on them flanking the front door. And i bought a potted live Frasier Fir and it's my outdoor tree this year. Then I'll have to figure out where it goes in spring. I've potted up all my amaryllis bulbs. I'm done mulching all my leaves and mixed it with the Hapigro i bought in Arkansas. Actually Hapigro is not being manufactured any longer. Believe me I've done my research. Who else do you know that would drive from Michigan to Arkansas to find it? Call me cuckoo. Listen! I DID find a fine pine here at a local landscaping place in Holland Mi. Next year I'll be using it mixed with compost, pea gravel and cocoa bean hulls. 😊 Tomorrow I'm planting a Nicki Phlox. It's deep purple. Love it. Linda i saw the brief pic of the Indiana family home and it looks like a Veneklasen from what i saw. Love that Dutch architecture.

  15. So amazing the garden still has so much…
Here in Michigan we have put everything to rest for Winter…put all my Christmas out inside and outside…I do many greens
    Layer with Christmas velvets
    . dusty rose.
    antique finds in the mix..
    So beautiful…love❤

  16. Thank you for the Tuesday walk about. Your garden looks beautiful 💜 Look forward to tomorrow’s video. 😎

  17. Do you spray your redbud trees? I live just South of you and mine always look terrible. It seems that lots of bugs like them.

  18. Hubs did not make an appearance; Stewart didn’t pan over fast enough. Kind of disappointing because I wanted to see hubs. 😊

  19. yes absolutely on the weird temperature, we had freezes and the today in Salt Lake city was 70 and I wore a dress and sandals… oh well. I wish next Sunday was warm enough for golf !

  20. I purchased 2 of the Cranberry Creek boxwoods the week you first advertised them – they were $40 each.

  21. I from Annie love those pansies they are so hardy I have them almost all year around here I like all mixed colors I use the flowers as pressed book marks and for herbal teas. Love your shirt it is great on you. Will you be showing the xmas garden n house tours on this channel too?

  22. HELLO AND WELCOME BACK, THANKS FOR ALL THE RECOMMENDATIONS I REALLY LIKE YOUR WALK AROUND THE GARDEN, SPECIFICALLY THE BACKYARD, IT GIVES ME INSPIRATION AND IDEAS FOR MY OWN BACKYARD, CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT YOU DO FOR CHRISTMAS. GREETINGS FROM TEXAS. 🤠👍

  23. I like Stewart's laughs or giggles (it reminds me of one of my brothers laughs) & my kids have commented thru the yrs how i pronounce certain words differently (with a southern twist). Your yard still looks absolutely gorgeous.

  24. Yes, there's no place like home. I, too, was out of town this weekend. Went to visit my daughter and her family in Louisiana, and I got back last evening. Love seeing my family!

  25. That's life, we have to laugh, enjoy life, Thank you Stewart for giggling all the time, we enjoy it. Thanks❤

  26. Agree with you on planting bulbs much later now (global warming?). I'm zone 9b and used to plant tulips Thanksgiving week, then moved to mid-Dec. & this year I'm going for Christmas week.

  27. Love the violas and pansies! ( have planted about 140 violas myself, dark purple, burgundy, washed out Pink… accordig to the same colours of my tulips and hyacinths)
