  1. Wow that is a huge tarp covering your manure and hope it stays over the winter for you. Love your crust-less pie recipe and will have to try it with squash. I used to try to vacuum the leaves in the fall but had too many nut trees mixed in so we just mulched them into the yard and bagged some for compost with riding mower. Perhaps your lawn care could do that in areas near the house. Wishing you a successful week ahead and take care..

  2. Kaye I let my leaves lay and by the end of March they are gone. But I will rake my pine straw and put it under a holly tree at the corner of my property in a low place. I only have 1.3 acres of land on a hill. Love from Lonnie

  3. So I wanted to give you some thoughts my gardening friends say to me. Look at what you have accomplished. You are working on a very large area. We will rarely get it all. I wonder if it is the nature of gardening on a large scale. I get discouraged, my husband is not able to help much. I have to confess my garden is getting smaller. I can only do so much. We are making changes so we can stay where we are. I think I rambled but you understand.

    get it all

  4. I like your input on what’s going on in the news here in our country and abroad. I’m surprised so many viewers rather just see gardening when there is so much reasoning behind the need to be self sufficient. You are an inspiration in so many ways!!

  5. great video, i need to do some clean up also but, i'm just not in the mood. don't know what's going on with me. maybe later lol. the pie looks really good. thanks for sharing with us. be safe kaye.

  6. How about some nuts and cheese in a bag in your pocket to snack on while you work? And are you drinking water? You might get that 5th bag of leaves then. Not good to skip meals. Hard on your pancreas.

  7. That’s a nice chopper….I would love to buy one😍. We don’t have trees but my husband collect leaves for me to use as mulch.

  8. kaye may i offer you a little advice,,,,,,,
    Covered horse manure,,,,,,
when you uncover to use beware
uncover carefully ,,,, because just maybe snakes could have hibernated underneath to take advantage of the warmth generated ,, found this in Arizona to my dismay bitten 3times by rattlesnakes,,,thats why im now living in BH

  9. You and I are about the same age. We are both strong persevering women. Both I am sure I speak for you as well…raised by the same type of women. My 84 year old mother still has a full time job running her community's small post office and cleans houses, local hunting lodges and the church. Today she is outside doing the same thing you are doing. Grateful I was raised by a strong woman that has never let anything stand in her way. Enjoyed watching you work today. I for one love to hear your views on world events.🌻🍁🍂

  10. Good video Kaye. I think I read that you had a PBS show in LA. I'd like to watch those videos. Are they available?

  11. Hey just a thought, how about using that great sweeper you have to pick up the leaves on your 4 wheeler and when it is full just suck the leaves out of that to make it even easier on you? Just a suggestion. Pull up a seat to the full sweeper and suck them up that way?
