I think if you will cut the peppers back close to the ground and then cover with the straw, the roots will overwinter and grow back early next year. It's worth a try anyway.
Chop and drop the flowers in place. Many will come up volunteer next year.
I'm thinking it got to the low 20"s there. I'm in FL and just planting a new tomato and cucumber crop for my tube house. Maybe try you a tube house and use a small diesel heater to keep the plants you want to survive the winters there. Also i like the cherry tomatoes over the full size cause the sun and heat just crack them open. Good luck
My peppermint was froze one night. It looks fine now
I love your garden tours, and I love your videos the way they are…. it's a reprieve from the others that give out info that can be a stressor. I enjoy listening to your comments about all the plants, and it is so nice to see all the kitties roaming about the property. In my opinion…leave your videos as is….I will always enjoy watching, and be inspired, as I am a late bloomer also. Thank you! ❤😊🐱
You are the beauty that is still blooming in the garden. Bless Your Heart, Sweet Kay 🌹
I looked up roselle It is a tropical south African plant zone 8-11
You might want to cover the manure pile with a tarp, in case it ever rains again.
Flag should be flying upside down – signifying nation in distress. I actually think flags should have flown upside down my entire lifetime. If not now, when?
Hello my busy bee in Tennessee. Just saw this bit of native american farming & had to share w you. Still looking for the row planting video. Check out the 3 sisters planting method! It's brilliant!

KAYE THE GOURDS YOU WILL KEEP PUT INSIDE SO THEY CAN DRY OUT. LOVE FROM LONNIE
A great video. Maybe a little of both gardening and current events. I love your videos where you are trying things out to be self sustainable. But we all enjoy the garden tours. I’m looking forward to some of your fireside chats. I love to see how you manage in the winter time as well. There is a war time video from the 1940 era showing how to grow food, how to cook what you grow, and how to manage when things are not available.
Yep I’m in SE Arkansas, we had such an early freeze

Thanks for the garden updates – very surprising what can survive a frost and that monarch butterflies are still seeking food. So sorry about your Roselle but maybe next year. Have a blessed week..
My thought: one way of preserving peppers is to throw them in the freezer. Is it possible to take those frozen peppers on the plant and relocate them to the freezer?
I watch plenty of prepper and news channels—I love your channel as is! I'm learning along with you on your journey. And I appreciate the calm!❤
