First time propagating an African violet. I’m repotting the baby (babies?) and there are a lot of these thick, translucent whiteish things under the soil. Are they roots or are they more baby stems reaching for the surface? A few separated when I pulled it out. Can they be planted separately? And/or should I be separating this all out or keeping it all together?

Thank you for any guidance!

They are ~~not roots, and not babies.~~ ??? Something else growing in the mix. I’d find somewhere else for them to be.

    Could be undeveloped baby runners🤔
