  1. excellent , love this more of these please very helpful, an expert to gives you say there top three plants . you have to listen to that

  2. What a great plant! I always loved thistles but I was hesitant to plant one because I was afraid it would self seed and cause a lot of troubles. I didn’t even know there are steril ones to buy. Thank you for the inspiration 👍

  3. I've got lots of these cirsium thistles & they are not just beautiful but as the guy said they're a magnet for bumble bees would definitely recommend them for any wildlife or flower border

  4. I love that one also, it is one that I still want for my border on the slope. 👍👍👍

  5. Alexandria thank you for this lovely post from the Head Gardener. I love the thistles, wonder if I can buy them here. I watched this and being on iPad, slipped into you r video with the Gardener from Bath Hotel and then into your talk on PTSD. I wish to add, from Australia, one thing I did when I was in a terrible state with PTSD was EFT, don’t pay anyone, find on internet and do in private. Emotional Freedom rechnique does surprisingly clear emotional issues from around the body easily. Mine PTSD was from 25 years of sustained phsychopathic abuse in marriage. I have no link or monetary interest here. I went to 10 psychologists who retraumatised me terribly before I found tapping. Iam a retired scientist so critical of nonsense. Thank you Alexandria for your garden series.

  6. Not available in Aus, scotch thistles are such an infestation rurally that any import exotic even remotely related is strictly banned.

  7. I got some 2 weeks ago and I absolutely love it !! Beautiful and airy but it gives height to the garden ! x

  8. Super! They do surprisingly great in our clay soils out here in the Mid-Atlantic, Maryland zone 7. Thanks for the recommendation! Have a great week!

  9. I saw these a while ago in a Plantsman’s Corner video and have been wanting them ever since! I can’t seem to find them in the USA except for one place that has a photo of a pretty different looking plant. I emailed them and never got a response. Can I grow them from seed or is this a veg propagated variety? Anyway, thanks formthisnnice little video. 🙂
