Spring onions or green onions are a mellow (mild) tasting onions that are best eaten raw. The variety of onion which we will be growing today is called the crystal wax white onion which easily matures in 60-90 days. Spring onions have small, tender bulbs that can be eaten raw. Not as pungent as the large red or white onions, these white crystal wax spring onions have a mellow taste. They can be easily grown in raised beds.
