Is it possible to live a low carbon life? Findhorn Ecovillage is living proof that modern developments with all the modern comforts can actually work. After 60 years this community has grown into a model for sustainable development across the world. On the site there is a local organic farm and shop, a restaurant, a café and various workshops as well as a conservation site, reforestation site and even a waste water treatment zone that uses the power of plants to clean and filter the water to UK bathing standard, it could even be used for drinking water, with another layer of filtering. The best thing about living in this ecovillage is that its non-toxic, the air quality is really good and its easy to go for a walk in nature, nothing is too far away. Could Findhorn ecovillage be a model for sustainable modern development? It has certainly been the catalyst for many other ecovillages across the world and has also inspired our team @LeafofLifeWorld where we have created a masterplan for our own regenerative eco community, that will live in harmony with nature! ¡Tok about GettiNG the BiGGR Picture !
People years ago all had gardens with food for the family and flowering plants for the birds, bees, and butterflies.
Today we have lost that in most communities. Every child should plant a tree, flower, bush or vegetables with a parent or teacher. It will help connect them to nature and the environment.
Thanks very much for making more of us aware of this fantastic project. It’s seems to me that the life we live can be as simple or difficult as we want. The issue is of course just getting off your behind and seeking out the best way to simplify the things in your life that were once seen as the inevitable consequence of modern living! It doesn’t have to be!
Wonderful 👏
Lessons learned are invaluable for new communities!!
Amazing Video and Thank You for making and sharing it.

In grateful appreciation.

What an awesome place! Wish we had a place like that in the US.
What is rocket? I can’t find anyone in the USA that knows what it is.
That was brilliant.
Did they build the wind turbines and the solar panels I wonder? How about the batteries?
How lucky for you to get to visit the Findhorn Community, they are such a force for good in this world.
SMART CITY, Agenda 21 planned.
potatoes will literally grow anywhere. If you cant grow anything , try your hand at potatoes .
That reminds me the 15 minutes cities plan. But is not that good when the project is to lock people up and don't let them out without a permit…
Blessed are we that plant a fruit tree for all to eat the birds and the bee's need food and flowers positive mindset Hawaiian forgotten lifestyle
Never do answer the big veg question
are they vegan or do they use animals?
and also where do the wind gens and pvs come from?
