  1. Emma i love your allotment diaries, but mostly i just love you and your personality, i like how you are keeping it 'real' and as a relatively new allotment owner myself i am learning stuff from you

  2. Your sweet pea tee pee is fabulous! Thanks for the continuous string tip, I'll try it as soon as the snow melts. In the mean time I enjoy watching you work since I can't yet.
    Thanks for another enjoyable post!

  3. So you grow the peas in the same place as last year on the high net? I thought you shouldn't do that. But for small gardens and mixed plantings it probably doesn't matter much. Were not growing acres of the same crop.
All the best from the Netherlands!

  4. You are correct, that is why I clicked. But I stayed and subscribed because I found you entertaining and interesting.

  5. Get some hooks on the wood piece to the left side wall to hang your scissors and stapler or just get an old container or even a washing up bowl for bits of tools. I have a set of 3 drawers to put mine in and Home Bargains are doing them now You could put it on your table, as the unit doesn't take up much room. Make life easy is my motto.

  6. I am always so looking forward to your videos. It like watching Bridget Jones, just better 💚 sending hugs

Also, you really should link again two videos form the time you were starting; about that fox staring at you and when you were assembling shed on that windy day. Those who watch your videos due to your amazing sense of humour should absolutely watch them ☺️

  7. Your pea teepee will need to be about 5 feet taller, and a lot bigger round the base. Those things grow to about 8 feet high!

  8. Tip to raise the net over the beans, Get some empty 2l drink bottles, cut the bottom off and then you put them on the poles/sticks and then net over the top, you can then peg or weight down the net.

  9. The bean damage looks like mice they nip the base of the beans. They also eat the beans when they swell and are nice and sweet. Good plan to protect them. It’s a constant battle. In London it could be rats eating your crops.

  10. I think you are doing a great job on your allotment and you’re always making me laugh as well 😂!

  11. I love the self=chatter and banter you have – it's very much like my own little running commentary when I'm doing stuff that I'm not overly confident about, so it's probably a way of managing my lack of confidence. This was a great vlog. I've recently started to follow as I've just managed to finally get my own allotment and your info is great!

  12. You were spot on. I saw that thumbnail and had to watch! Loved the bamboo teepee and your plot looks great.

  13. Emma little tip if you like….last job on your plot before going home for a nice hot cuppa….put ALL you tools back in the shed,l can see you have hooks or whatever up in you shed use them, then you know your scissors are there 😆🤗❤️ love love love you videos sweet Emma 🌱🌱🌱

  14. Oh that's what l was meant to say lol,the first thing l ever done when l started my first allotment was make a Tee Pee for sweet peas and it looked fantastic.

  15. 135m2? Amazing .. here in Haarlem (North Holland) you get 5m2 and that's if you're lucky. Yay for you 🙂

  16. Hi Emma I'm going to do a teepee like yours the last time I put one up I did individual string layers thank you for your tip doing it all in one length look forward to your next video take care xx

  17. Must say I'm really enjoying your blog's I have been waiting 4 years for an allotment plot space and now I have one, can't wait to get going how you do things is simply explained I'll be looking in at your blog's regularly to help me get going thanks 🌲🏵️💐

  18. You can get everlasting sweet peas which have grown for some years now and the smell his fantastic aswell don't pull them out leave the roots in the ground full of nitrogen just cut them off

  19. Hihihihi…. Why bother…. Just try to live with the nature around you…. Is a lot cheaper and better for the environment…. Just don`t buy extras like Nets…. Risebeds…. etc…. etc…. Gardening like in the middle age…. cheaper, healthier…. Who knows what the acidic rain washed from all that artificial stuffs of the Material to your ground…. A square without border…. etc…. So you can work through, over it and dig it in and shuffle…. Whatever and each milimeters of your ground can be planted…. Stuff, plants, vegetables, which…. suitable to your area without the birds shows interest in it…. etc…. etc… a bit different from many…. Have fun!

  20. I sowed 156 Sweet Pea seeds a few days ago, in my unheated, glassed in porch. In little pots with 4 seeds per pot. I noticed your channel. It's great. In Ohio. I'm going to make a long row using bamboo poles and twine. It's beastly hot in Ohio. So I have 3 kinds of climbing runner beans i will put thete, and pull the sweet peas out when they are done.

  21. i have planted sweeet peas for the 1st time this year. im so excited to grow them this year! i was so worried about growing them with a young child as she will walk throiught the allotment/garden and eat freely. now she is older and we have a flower garden ill pop them in there and im much less worried about growing them.

  22. I wished I would have seen this video before planting my sweet peas. You mentioned that you soak your sweet pea seeds first before planting them. Unfortuntely I skipped this step but will hope for the best. At least now I know how to build a sweet pea teapee. thanks
